I Learned

I learned that there's nothing wrong with rereading a book, as long as you get something new out of it every time. Or as long as you just love it.
 
I've learned that everytime I re-read White Noise a certain female friend gets pregnant (3 for 3). She has forbidden me from reading it again.
 
I've learned you can go a long way with good looks or charm, but real success requires some hard work. Shame I had neither and am terminally lazy then.

I learned that some people, no matter what you do, will always take, "Hi," to mean "OH GOD FUCK ME NOW AND IF I SAY NO, TRY HARDER."

I have learned, in those situations, it is okay to be an unfeeling and specific, ruthless, verbally-castrating jerk.
