This thread is for discussion of a name for our Party in eRep.

First of all I'd like to give you a rundown on the political hierarchy in eRep.

Citizens (individuals, we all have one vote etc.)
Parties (you can join/found a party, similiar to regions in NS)
Countries (several parties per country, one with most votes has power, controls warfare and deals with other countries)
Alliances (PEACE, ATLANTIS etc. These are basically alliances which span several countries, MDP's etc.)

Currently the Unity Party and the UK Reform party are the two most powerful parties in eUK. UK Reform has more congressmen, but TUP have the presidency.

Anyway, I think most of us as part of expanding into eRep would like to set up our own party. I've said this before but myself and Rhindon agree that the best course of action would be to not necessarily make this party specific to TNP. Obviously native eReppers could join our party as well but we don't want to exclude (intentionally or not) other NSers. I'm sure most people agree on this point.

So, what myself and Rhindon agreed on was that our name (and also our idealogies etc., see other threads) should reflect NS players as as much of a whole as possible.

We were not able to come up with anything specific as of yet, so feel free to shout out your ideas.

Also, bear in mind that none of the above is set in stone, so if the majority of us agree that this should be TNP specific, then that is fair enough.

New State (NS)?

I do like The National Party - but do we want to call ourselves TNP when potentially we could be made up of citizens from all across NS, not just our region? I suppose its not too in-your-face...but do we want to go for something like that?
 
TNP is clever but I think something without "Party" in it would be better- since we're aiming to be a more encompassing organisation.

I quite like the "New State" suggestion. Or "Vanguard". I personally think something along those lines would be best.
 
But what if you put a Socialist in there as well? Oh wait...[/very lame joke][/waste of a post as well]

Edit: Did one of those random name generators. I'm not 100% happy with any of them, but in case there's anything that inspires anybody...

Blessed and United Corporate Dominion (A bit shit, but I like the blessed part)
Czardom of Lands (Czar!)
Enlightened and Honorable People's Solidarity (Solidarity is cool)
Perfect Representative Commonwealth (I like perfection)
Syndicate of Prefectures
Unity of States Aristocratic and Soverign Monarchy of Shires (I like Unity but I think it's been done a few times in eRep)
Confederated Cooperative (Bit shit, but the words might come in handy)
Holy Autonarchic Commonwealth (Autonarchic? What does that mean?)
Imperium of Territories (Imperium is cool)
Indivisible and Industrial Plutocracy (I like the word Plutocracy)

So, from this, I was able to come up with the following.

Unity Federation (We could shorten it Newspeak style to UniFed.)
National Syndicate (The acronym is an obvious one, but it sounds like some massive plan to take down the lottery.)
Technocratic International (Only because it sounds like some massive sleek cyborg race taking over the world!)

Most of them are quite shit. I really only did it in case any words appearing in it that anybody thinks might be useful.

The random generator site I used was Seventh Sanctum.

We could use Sanctum either?

New Sanctum or something like that? I know, it's pretty weak.

Name generators are great sometimes...go ahead an experiment, see what comes up.

I'm liking "New State Order" quite alot, actually.
 
How about The Blue Party?

The way I see it...if we ever decide to have like alliances or spin offs...we can make them The Red Party, The green Party etc. Always good to plan ahead! lol

Ivan and I might share some similar qualities, but being decisively sinister is not one of them lol.

So is New State out of the question? Doesn't have to incorporate 'Order' - other similar words... League, society, fraternity, enterprise etc. eRepublik is the "New World", isn't it? We could try "New World Order"! :P

Novus Syndicus (NS)? New Syndicate. I'm probably very pedantic, but I love the letter patterning of the Latin version.
 
I guess we should wait for a few more suggestions, gather the current ones up and place them up for a 48 hour vote. Will give this till the end of the day.

New State Authority?

The actual Party name would only include the first two words, ofc. 'Vanguard' or 'New State Vanguard' would work as a pretty snazzy image (see logo thread)...
 
I'm not gonna lie, none of these names are jumping out at me. I know it's about time we did get a name, but I still don't think there's anything special here.

That is not on the list Khark. Nor was it suggested in the Party Name discussion.

This is a voting thread...please vote for the names on the list and add a comment if u like along with your vote. Discussions belong in the Party Name thread.

Syd, that was a comment not a vote which is why it was moved here. I added your second one though....just so I don't hear the "Internet is Serious Business" bit. You also didn't add your citizen name as asked...much like MDH. I use that to update the member list.
