About this "survey"

On what grounds?

Since the NPD I have served in the Regional Assembly. I was an active member that proposed several Constitutional revisions and amendments.

I also served on the Security Council.

Has some crime been committed since that last time of service that would justify different treatment than other applicants?

That isn't at all what I said. I was not proposing that we vote members in. I was stating my opinion that in a feeder democracy, if someone applies to the RA, is forthcoming about the particulars of his nation, and takes the oath, then we have no basis upon which to deny him the right to vote... Even if he is a self-proclaimed power-hungry arrogant bastard.

I believe everyone is aware that you have no concern for the Constitution based on your comments over the recent election.

One might wonder which the bigger threat to the region would be. Someone like myself, who is just an arrogant bastard but at least knows the law or someone that likes to make jokes all the time, disregard the Constitution when convenient, out of ignorance or otherwise and holds a Cabinet post?

As for different treatment, how is having a public interview not different from the rest of the applicants? You're slipping Moldi...

More and more we're turning into the US where it's less about getting people to follow the Constitution but to follow their specific interpretation of it.
 
Depends on intent, I suppose.

I agree that I am a flexible constitutionalist, but that's mainly due to the fact that good constitutions are meant to be flexible.

Honestly? I am surprised you send this to all the applicants. I believed you were pulling my leg with this survey.

I do not trust your intentions. If you want to participate under one of the future ministers, help out, do some public services...great. At the moment, I do not believe that you in the RA is a good thing. You on the forum and NS....ok. But this is not my call, nor is it a priority should I win the election. Yes...sorry...your not a priority. No offense.


You were a bit player in my game when I was in control. When I voluntarily stepped down as Delegate I held no concern whatsoever for the complete screwup that followed by my "partners".

Bring any old IRC conversations up that you wish, they will show that I held the upper hand and participated in talks so that I could deliberately sabotage them. You and yours were so ineffective that I had to hijack myself in order to keep the game moving. That is widely publicized. The "underground" was all but dead before I decided to start booting masses of people from the region. Had I just ignored you outright then the NPD would probably still be here and it would be boring as Hell.

For the record I didn't fill out a form. And I hadn't been in the RA since last September.

You were vouched for by a long standing respected member of this region and you are in our files as a long standing respected member of this region. I guess it could be surprising that a member who is a long standing respected member of this region with a file already created- and has been voucnhed for by a long standing respected member of this region, will go by with fewer questions asked than someone who isn't with no such file.

Ok, final check shows that you (Gracius Maximus) were not a member of the RA as of Jan 24, the final cut off before the new Constitution took over. What does this mean? It means that you are not a Suspended Member. A suspended member usually does not get questioned unless I am unfamiliar with them, they have no file, and they have no one else I am familiar with who is willing to vouch for them.

I was correct when informed that Ator was a Suspended Member by the person vouching for him. Now by law Suspended Members are automatically waved in, but records must be kept so I wave them in while filling in the blanks later.

As for you Gracius Maximus, I want to thank you for being cooperative in at least recalling all your activities within your history in the game. However, I'm going to need some time to corroborate the evidence against you concerning the allegation as I have warned you at the bottom of the form in blue. We've had allegations before about certain applicants and all of them turned out to be patently false. I hope the same goes for you.

I had to answer the same 'survey,' Ivan. And I did so quite willingly, even though there is no reason for me to be mistrusted.

This is not out of standard procedure for most governmental bodies in regions such as TNP.

In short, shut up. If you want in the RA, I suggest you answer the survey.

I would like to submit my concerns regarding Gracius Maximus for formal review. To wit, I believe that Gracius Maximus has mystical shaman-like powers that require an authentic RA badge for him to unlock, and with which he will be able to take over every high-influence nation in the region (possibly the game) and, after forcing them to perform a degenerate dancing ritual involving peyote, rain sticks, and not enough loin cloths, summon Beelzebub, Cthuhlu, Chupucabra, and Evil Chewbacca and ravish our fair region's maidenhood.

I do expect that my concerns will be given all due attention, given the immense (orotund?) gravity of the situation and the grave dangers surrounding this man-but-not-man, and that the Speaker will make the appropriate decision and graciously turn away this monster with all maximum speed. For if the North is to draw her final breath in old age, she must be spared the Mos Eisley-esque villainy which seeps from our retired tyrants every pore, which infuses the heavens with disgust and the demons of hell with wild abandon.

Save a North Pacific, kick a Moldavi.
