Liechtenstein = is near me, it is pleasant. But you are right to say that it is shameful to start a topic with countries you don't know much of. Tsts, what do they teach you in school?

Liechtenstein is pretty much not more than a Swiss canton, they have the same currency (Swiss Franks), no border between their countries, the Swiss army is responsible for defence (there is not ONE single Liechtensteinian soldier in the world). Their language is German (respectively, their local German dialect). And they have one of the top three GDP's in the world, if not the highest, I'm not sure.
Liechtenstein borders Austria, too, and is not very far away from Germany and Italy.
If you say someone was "Austrian", you mean an ethnic Austrian, thus someone who speaks German. Tesla surely was not an Austrian, but a Serb. Perhaps he had to learn German in school, but his mother tongue was Serbian. He was a citizen of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (there's is a very very big difference betwen that and "Austria". Austria did exist only from 1948 on), yes, but not Austrian. The Austrian Empire contained (completely or partly) territories of these actual countries of today: Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Czechia. With all these populations living there. So it is very correct to give Serbia the points for Tesla, and not the Austrian occupiers.
Actually, the Austrians with their gigantic Empire have a big deal of the responsibility for the WWI. And without that, Germany would never had such a economic decline, which in turn made it possible for a small, black-bearded (originally Austrian!) man to make the German people admire him.
