That come up on your iPod or computar machine player. No matter how embarrassing!

Mine, using WMP's dubious shuffle feature;

1) The Cure - I'll Stop The World And Melt With You.
Not a bad start, there are certainly worse Cure songs. Quite upbeat too, which is always nice.

2) The Raconteurs - Intimate Secretary live.
Er...hmm. Basically just noise, not a quality recording. The Song Steady as She Goes is a much better offering for the 'teurs.

3) The Ramones - Rock and Roll High School.
Alright, back on form! Don't trust anyone who doesn't like the Ramones. So what if they only know a coupla chords.

4) Joe Cocker - The Letter live.
A good long cover of a good song original done by the Box Tops, as far as I know.

5) Hey You - Pink Floyd.
Ha! There had to be one.

Here we go...I stuck my entire iTunes library on party shuffle and hit the refresh button. This is what we got:

1) Anywhere (The Two Lone Swordsmen vocal remix) - Beth Orton

2) With A Little Help From My Friends - The Beatles

3) Mr. Roboto - Styx

4) Time - Pink Floyd

5) Write Us - Blueline Medic

Knew I could count on at least *one* person preventing this thread sinking like a lead balloon! Some more of mine;

1) Heroes (live) - King Crimson;
An excellent cover of the Bowie original with slightly tweaked lyrics about drinking all day.

2) See Me, Feel Me - The Who.
A bit...well, boring, tbh. There are better Who songs.

3) Rave On - Buddy Holly.
A bit old school, but still rocks.

4) Range Life - Pavement.

5) California Dreaming - The Momma's & The Pappas.
All the leaves are brown (All the leaves are brown...)
And the sky is grey (And the sky is grey...)

Is there a better 'it's winter and I'm annoyed about it' song? Maybe Hazy Shade of Winter by S&G...

These Days (Two Hands Version) - Powderfinger.

Underwater - All time Quarterback.

We Haven't Turned Around - Gomez.

No Better Place - Fountains of Wayne.

Knock-Down Drag-Out - Weezer.

I heart California Dreaming. I have it on my iTunes as well. Alright, let's roll this shuffle puppy one more time...

Fantastic song. One of the reasons (other than idleness) I had long flowing locks a while back.

3) Red Morning Light - Kings of Leon.

Yay! Billy Liar! I listened to that song with my mom in the room once. My mom is the type who thinks Celine Dion is a bit edgy...

1) Hat and Rabbit - Page France
I love this song. Found it a couple months ago. It's so much fun:
i've got a blue eyed son / he burns the same for every one / i had a new best friend / he went and let me down again / and i've got a green green grass / it grows so tall it grows so fast / you've got a crooked tooth / he loves you straighter then i do / but when i see my blue / i still think of you / i've got a black out name / hand me down i had no say / a hat and rabbit magic show / magic man wont let me go / but when i shake my trail / you'll be the first to know / and when you wag your tail / look at the blue eyed son / i see angels quickly picking up their guns / how could the sky be blue for everyone at once / i've got a black out name / it can't be the one you want

2) Torn Between Two Lovers - Mary MacGregor
I nearly didn't post this, but then I remembered the rules.

3) Action - Clem Snide
One of the best tongue-in-cheek love songs ever!
Give it away
Don't make 'em pay
And you're free
And if you're alone just pick up the phone it's me
I'll bring nothin' to eat
But I can tickle your fee
'Til you smile
I know they're closing the store
But let's lay on the floor a while

You're everything I want to do
'Cause when there's love there's action

Funky electronica, you should see my awesome moves when this song comes on. I'm pretty sure it's all instrumental, too. It's got a great beat. I'd have sex to it. Probably. :pinch: And you don't need to know that, but pretty much music and sex to me go hand in hand. I don't care if it's filthmongerish. :P

3) Clue - The Contrast
"Sometimes I lose my mind, sometimes I can't unwind, sometimes my brains turn goo, but I don't have a clue... I'm glad you're here."

5) American Pastime - David Karsten Daniels
I love this song! The lyrics are amazing the music is perfect for them:
if you and i were like a game of little league
we'd line up afterwards and say good game
but that assumes that everyone would play fair
or the results would be the same

i think we know that's not what would happen
you'd throw too close when i was up to bat
or i'd be sitting down in right field
my glove off collecting dandelions in my hat

oh i'm not cut out for the major league
oh i'm not cut out for the major league

if you and i were soldiers in the battlefield
we'd miss each chance to understand
and screaming at each other foreign tongues
and waving guns
and all you'd want was to throw off your cares

if i had you on the ground
to make you surrender all your rounds
you'd reach so fast just to comply
but in my fear and in my haste
your willingness i would mistake
as you quickly reaching for your knife

oh i'd pepper bullets across your spine
oh i'd pepper bullets across your spine

"Cherries in the snow, cherries when you go don't wither. Cherries in the sky, cherries by and by don't wither, don't wither. When the boys pass, and they're sayin' Ooooh-la-la.... Cherries on the street, cherries at your feet don't wither, don't wither. Cherries leave a mark, cherries until dark don't wither...." This song is so overtly sexual without saying anything about it. Makes me giggle.
