That is the fourth time in this thread that the posting of about four people has been spun as "the masses have spoken." Fullhead I can understand: the Lexicon is so deserted these days, apparently, that he can be forgiven for thinking four people is a "mass". But the rest of you? For shame for your hyperbole!

Since so few have taken part in this dicussion and the majority appear in favor of the idea, the anti-masses which you represent, Flem, also look ethereal.

Well then ... if you are surrendering, TAO will be happy to continue stirring up those masses. As to TAO's idea being a poor argument ... your "stagnation option" does hold much more appeal. And TAO is sure you will embellish your option in the RA. But whatever you say, realize it is stagnation and a slow death for TNP. Where is the PRIDE? And what is wrong with the DRAMA? If this region continues to stand aside and let the barbarians overrun the countryside, then maybe TNP should take the path the Romans did in AD 476.

Oh ye Noble North Pacificans ... Why do you hide in your villas and allow the barbarian to spoil your fields and your elections and your RMB? Where is the Warrior Spirit that tamed Great Bight and Pixiedance? Where are the arms and the swords and the voices of those decrying injustice from outsiders?

Now is the time to UNITE and show the barbarians that The North Pacific will not stand by and endure any more injustice. The North Pacific will not allow the interference of our enemies in our elections and out government.

@Flem & CO: I'll admit that calling that region a threat is a stretch, but boredom is a more serious threat. I'm inclined to side with TAO & FL for that reason. I don't think we should come on them with "shock & awe", but I wouldn't mind shaking things up a bit.
 
Sheesh, if we became imperialists then I would join the NPA, that would be fun. Alas I will sit in the musty halls of Justice arguing over minutiae and semantics. That's why I was so active during Fulhead's trial, who could turn down that amount of fun?

Seriously, sometimes you'll argue about anything to keep yourselves from getting bored.

But whatever! Debating about it forever is a far smarter idea than going around playing the bully who only garners respect through fear.

That doesn't make the playground any fun.

I'm sad for you, four people, who can't find more productive things to do in a region this big.
 
Addendum - ...Than going around picking on all the kindergarteners who are bugging you because they seem to be having more fun than you while playing in the dirt.

Figured I'd carry on the playgroud metaphor and explain which four people I was referring two.

Yes, not all of us can find amusement posting meaningless tripe all the time. Maybe you could help us understand how spamming makes this region any better? Do you even have a nation in nationstates any more? You know, nationstates, the game that this forum is an extension of?

That is the issue here. Maybe instead of arguing we could actually do something to exercise our might and let everyone know that no threat, despite the size, will be ignored. With a small region of dedicated haters it won't be too long until they realize that they will not be able to destroy TNP through conventional means, then we will just have to take the chance that one day the delegate we elect will be one of those people using infiltration to achieve the same end.

But no, lets stay here and do nothing while all the time our region gets smaller and smaller as people lose interest and move to cybernations or another online game. That sounds better.
 
You forget mate that they declared war on TNP. Who are we to deny them it, they want to play the game! and for once so do we

I'm actually against this. They just want attention, and, by declaring war, we're giving them what they want. They'll get bored with us sooner or later. People hate America, but you don't see us blowing up every nation that says it. It's just Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, Iraq was useless, I admit, but we're in afghanistan because of the Twin Towers. Not because some punk called us a few names. Have some decency.
 
Actually, I think there stated goal is to destroy TNP. Attention is probably much further down the list.

I don't think one can really compare TNP to modern America, we're currently like modern France, we never do anything, we're boring, and we get taken over often.
 
No. WE are nowhere near modern France. If we were modern France, we wouldn't have an active defender military, and people wouldn't like us. We are kind of mid-way between modern United States and United Kingdom, if not United Kingdom. But I like to think of us as a symbolic form of America. Just for fun. :D

But attention would be at the top of the list. Why do you think they go around rampaging against the North Pacific? To recruit yes, but it is for their own personal gain. If we just tell them we love them they will get incredibly mad. In fact, I'll go do that right now.

Believe it or not, I'm actually serious about this.
