Guess the country

Nyet.

This country became independent in 1947.

EDIT: And it is (surprisingly for me) not the country with the highest number of languages any more. They say many languages died out in the last years. But still, 380 languages aren't that few.

Feh, could be any! I'll take a stab at Portugal for no reason other than I'm playing a campaign as them on M2:TW at the mo'.

The Roman Empire? I hate to be the one to tell you this, but, er, it ain't really around now. :P

Hmm. Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm.France?

Azerbaijan is bordered by Georgia (not the US state, you spoon lovers), Iran, Russia and Armenia.

I'm gonna go with Armenia because:

#1: It's in Rome: Total War. Good heavy cav.
#2: It's 'closer to the action', Christian-wise.

Mainly #1.

(Wedge formation, charge into the flanks, ahh...sorry, just reliving memories of Armenian heavy cataphracts.)

Erm, let's see.
This population of this country is roughly 10 mil.

WOOT!

*So, as I'm Czech, I'll tell you: the Czech Republic has about 10 mil habitants, that's very correct*

But could be Belgium as well. Or Greece. Or Hungary (again!). Or Portugal. Or, when being generous, Sweden, also. Or..damn, that's enough!
I'll abstain until the next clue, this one is really too general, as you see.

Bingo! I didn't know that'd be tricky, although my clues were fairly unhelpful (although all true). Trust a Python fan to know!
