OT Split

*Hersfold awaits the trial.

Do the justices want the off-topic posts split out before we actually begin?

Yes, I do.

Also, @ F&P, I'm a midmanager for the 3rd largest retailer on the planet. Closing shift Tuesday brought me -

1 customer complaint call from Corporate on an issue my SM told me was resolved.

4 callouts (including 2 specialists in departments I know very little about), which would be over half my floor staff.

1 quick visit with my HR as she went out the door which included the words "I'm going to need you to do a termination tonight when XXX comes in."

Also, 2 hours of overtime (1 from the termination, and 1 because my SM and HR left early, leaving me as the only manager in the building, meaning no lunch.)

Also, I had to try to cover my department during this time, as we hadn't scheduled anyone there.

Opening shift Wednesday brought -

2 dead registers, each of which required 30 minutes on the line with IT desk to convince them that yes, they did just need to delete and reimage the damn things.

1 General Liability claim for forklift damage to a vendor's truck.

1 broken bundle of special order merchandise, and associated drug screening and paperwork for the employee in question.

1 $900 shortage from the night before (cashier had laid a cash drop on top of their register and forgotten it :duh: )

3 calls from the alarm company because on of our perimeter sensors went schizo.

This will be my last retail job, but I don't know for sure what I mean by that right now.
