Repealing is stupid

There seems to be a lot of folk who do not like the previous UN resolutions. Most usual arguments are that "the language is not good" or "the resolution is too narrow". Some of those people then writes a brief repeal and it passes. However the substituting proposal could be far away from passing at the UN. In such case, that "resolutionless" period may not be what the majority of UN nations want.

This makes me ask: why do we have to suffer a repeal every time someone wants to improve some resolution? Why couldn't a resolution with bad languange but good intentions be replaced instead of the present two-steps procedure of repeals before writing new? It would be more honest to the voters if they saw what was the new alternative (of a resolution) going to be like.

My :2c: and then some.

I believe the motivation behind a great many of the repeals isn't to support a substitute motion but to actually just repeal the initial proposal altogether.

It is my opinion that the United Nations takes too many liberties with the sovereignty of our nations. The vast majority of resolutions impede on the decision making abilities of the individual national governments.

That is fair and honest talk, not like the air with these repeals these days. I understood that, perhaps I'm just hungry and therefore edgy. You may tell my mood from the tone of that title.

I am Not a fan of repealing.
If people didnt want the resolution in the first place they would have never passed it.

I propose we make a proposal to repeal all repeals!! That'll show 'em!!

OK, so I'm still bitter over the Mods vetoing my "Compulsory Annual Decimation" proposal to alleviate overcrowding and world hunger!!

Death to the UN!!

That doesn't work :P

I tried it one night when i got bored. Learned an important lesson, stay away from the UN at all costs :P

Pffft...the UN doesn't know a good proposal when they see one!! The only thing I have to do with the UN is deleting their crappy telegrams telling me that some jackass proposed something and a larger group of jackasses voted for it, meaning my nation has to adopt the law of the jackass!!

There should be only one jackass making laws in Poltsamaa and that jackass is me!!

And the beauty of my proposal to repeal all repeals it that the proposal itself must be repealed after it is approved by the UN throwing the UN into turmoil!!

I would support such a proposal, if only to watch the UN tie itself into pretzel. There is a delicious irony in the whole idea.

You know, you've always been my favorite jackass.

The paradox is so beautiful, I have to vote for it!!!! The total destuction of the UN and government and armies all over NS will be spectacular to watch!

It'd be ironic if someone repealed the repeal repealing resolution.
If the implement my proposal they will be in an infinite loop of repeals!! They will have to repeal all repeals including my repeal of repeals which will then reinstate my proposal causing another cascade of repeals!!

I'd like all those who think the recent repeals are stupid to please write indiviually an anti-repeal resolution to ban repeals.

So I can have you all deleted for game mechanic resolutions...
Muhaha

I do not believe the Mods will allow anything that alters the method by which resolutions can be made (limiting a specific type of future resolutions in this case) to pass through.

:2c:

I proved how pointless the UN is whilst delegate of the North Pacific region, I changed two letters of a previously passed resolution submitted it and it passed  ( :D creating yet another record for me as the only feeder delegate to have a resolution passed).

Out of curiosity, what are the other records?
