I did not say "I'm going to impeach you right now." I asked them to make a response or delegate to the deputy. I put the stick at the end of "I'll request the AG to begin proceedings for imeachment". The AG, Court, and the RA all would have oppurtunities to stop me if I was going was overly agressive.

I know that there are embassies. I checked :). It's been 6 months since anyone has been active in ours in TNP, and 4 since anyone has been active in theirs in Lem. I'm just trying to kick start them again. But thanks for the links! That makes my life easy.

Despite the lack of a MOEA, has the cabinet yet formulated its response to the destruction of the RIA forum?

In my opinion you have had plenty long enough to discuss it and come to a conclusion.
 
Oh, Flem, that's old news. The only people still interested in that are Merit and TWP. Hell, even RIA shut up about it.

You are a cabinet minister. How about an answer to the question?

The cabinet has been considering a response to the forum bombing by Meri and Jarg for about 10 days now. When can a statement be expected?

An interesting turn of phrase, given the discussion in anothere place on this forum about the NPD's classification of some people/acts as 'terrorists'/'terrorism'.

How easily emotive words trip from the tongue.

For the sake of the forum Flem I do hope you're not suggesting that Meri or anyone else actually carried out the planting of a bomb.

We would hate to see this forum closed down for libel. :eyeroll:

If they are not, why not?

This would seem rather more serious than an 'in game' activity.

Should that not be reported to Invision Free? I do believe the penalty for such an infringement is to have the forum on which it was posted shut down without warning.
 
That's certainly my understanding Fedele.

A very long time ago IP's IP addy was posted on TEP's forum.

IF asked him did he wish the forum deleted as a result.

He declined.

Not everyone may be so charitable.

Note to Flem: My words were a satirical reference to the many claims of 'libel' here, the rather more pressing question is what the Government's response will be to the real life invasion of privacy that occurred.

Well, after a few days of voting on a new statement, we've got a tie. Two Ministers are in favor, and two others think it's too late to bother. Since I'm about to leave again, I'm going to vote in favor to break the tie. So there.


The North Pacific Government would like to express their apologies for the delay in making this statement. Real Life issues have caused our government to function a little slower than usual at late. The Cabinet would like to issue the following statement concerning the recent "forum crashing" that has taken place.

The North Pacific is shocked and disgusted at the recent act of forum vandalism. We do not feel that it is a legitimate battle tactic that has a place in the game of Nationstates, but rather a personal, out of character tactic used out of spite and hatred. We will remain steadfast against forum destruction, no matter who the aggressor or the victim.

Due to the history of forum troubles The North Pacific has had, we sympathize with the victims of this forum raid and others that have taken place. Let it be known that should this tactic continue, the perpertrator(s) will be considered a persona non grata in the region of The North Pacific, and as such will never be welcome in our forums or region for the crimes they have committed against the soverignty and freedom of others.
