Elections open at 12:00 AM on May 1st, 2006, Greenwich Meridian Time (or 7:00 PM on April 30th, 2006, Eastern Standard Time) and close at 11:59 PM on May 7th, 2006 GMT (or 6:59 PM on May 7th, EST). Only ballots recieved during this period will be counted towards the election.
In order for your ballot to be counted towards the election, you must:
For security reasons, nations not eligible to vote that are members of the Regional Assembly will not recieve RA masks until elections have been closed and verified.
In order to vote, nations must post the form below in this topic, or copy the form and send it privately to this account (The Voting Booth) via Personal Message. Ballots sent privately may be merged with Delegate ballots. Incomplete or incorrect ballots will be invalidated. You may be contacted to correct your ballot. Votes may be changed at any time during the election period, however all edits must be dated within the specified election period.
Nations reserve the right to abstain for one or more postitions. If you choose to do this, simply type "Abstain" in place of one of the candidate's names listed below. Abstentions count as a vote for no candidate.
A candidate must obtain at least 50% of all ballots cast, including abstentions, in order to be declared the winner. Elections failing to show a majority will have a run-off election as required by the Constitution.

Please note that there are 7 seats available for Security Council. As of this afternoon, there are 70 Regional Assembly members, and therefore 7 seats available.
