We got dumped on last night - I just measured 14 inches of snow around my house. :w00t:

Anyone else get buried?
 
We haven't received more than an inch combined all winter (and I live just outside the most northerly major city in Canada). Me likes the global warming or whatever is responsible for the freakishly warm weather here this year. :D
 
We got roughly 6 inches two weeks before Christmas, and a light dusting yesterday which was gone by nightfall.

I miss winter. :no:
 
I lived in Thompson, Manitoba for a few years and we had snow on the ground from September to late May. I don't miss it. :lol:

At the very least I was one of the first to call this blizzard (I predicted a Northeast blizzard last Thursday, way before the Pro Mets did) ;)

It's cold outside where I am but not snowing, though it did last week apparently (I wasn't at home last week). It's a good job it's not snowing here cos a few hours ago my dad's car broke down and the brakes failed completely while we were driving down a really steep hill. I just got home an hour ago because we had to be towed back.

Utah, here...It has been cold enough to burn my lungs while running in the mornings. Snow would actually warm things up a bit. :headbang:
 
Where in Utah are you at King? I've got a friend that's in Ogden and he's been surprised at the lack of snow for this late in the year.
 
:P Unfortunately, I'm in San Antonio, Texas (the armpit of the climatic world), where we don't actually have "seasons," just one year-long hellish ordeal with a few bright spots in December.
 
I live just north of Houston and I have taken the four hour drive to San Antonio a few times and the hottest I have seen it get there is about 111 degrees. That's not all that bad, really. San Antonio is a nice city with a great basketball team.
 
Winnipeg is on it's second winter storm in one week and I'm dealing with snowdrifts that could bury a large animal. What is even more fun is driving through these fronts, the first one on Wednesday caught me on a travel day and made life a little more than interesting. Today's hit the same area and pummeled the area I traveled to (Dauphin) Wednesday was an 8 hour drive (usually takes 4) and I can only guess how long today's would have taken. I can't wait for spring!
 
You crazy people with your continental climates.

Just be thankful you don't live in the UK, where anything other than overcast or raining is a national emergency...

For example:

Snow (especially the 'wrong type') - Trains don't work.
Sun - Trains don't work.
Autumn, leaves on the tracks - Trains don't work.

Luckly, snow seems to be going out of fashion (not since I was a lad have I seen a proper snowfall), and the Sun was last spotted in 1994, and we were promised that was a freak event...
 
We had snow last week, which meant that some people on the valleys (pobol y cwm in fact - hah!) had trouble getting in and out. i.e. trains didn't work, mind you, Arriva are just shit anyway.

'Course, I have to be within walking distance of work, and right now? It's pissing down.
