Now then... Just because they call themselves the Wolrd Champions, does not mean that the world in involved. American Football is limited to the US. Furthermore, "Football" is very much a misnomer, as there are only four occasions when the ball actually comes in intentional contact with the feet - Kickoff, Punts, Field Goals, and Extra Points - whereas in Soccer you are not allowed to touch the ball with anything BUT your feet except in certain circumstances (such as head, chest, and goalkeepers). Soccer was also invented well before the idea of American Football ever came around, and therefore has squatter's rights on the name of Football. Soccer is by far a much less violent sport - evidenced by the need to wear almost full-body armor in American Football, and the fact that you would get kicked out of the game - and probably banned for several more to come - if you attempted any of the activities normally accepted in American Football. Soccer is also the world's most popular sport - by a fairly large margin - whereas nobody outside of the US could give a flip about American Football. And I should also point out that with a few exceptions, those who play Soccer generally appear to have a much higher intellegence level that those who play American Football... evidenced by the fact that many NFL stars have some difficulty in stringing together a single sentence.

Wrong again my friend....we also have the Drop kick! I have seen soccer players do this too...but only ours is a point...he he he.


Soccer may have been invented before football...but us americans were the first to actually have organized football games (check the Wiki). So, we reserve the right to improve on the sport..hence...American football...get with the times people!! :o

Canada invented American Football - they invited Harvard to play and that's how it spread to the U.S. apparently.

And Hers, I dunno about soccer players over your side of the pond but they're uniformly intellectually dull where I come from :yes:
 
And to be a pro football player you have to go through college... and if you go to a crappy college nobody usually even notices you...
