Byardkuria for Chief Justice

Since the Judiciary handles its elections a bit differently, this isn't really a campaign thread.

Instead, if any of the new folks who don't know me want to ask any questions before voting in the referendum (or what's left of it), I thought they should get a shot. Or, for that matter, anyone with questions.

Think of it as the pre-confirmation Senate hearings.

The same way I handled the Associate Justice position - with a quiet dignity.

Seriously, though, if you mean in terms of managing to participate, I don't foresee any isues of time or commitment arising - I am here several times every day, although at unpredictable times. If you mean discharging the duties of the position, I think I've had an excellent example of a CJ during my term as Associate Justice, and will, basically, do my best to ensure that everyone before the Court is heard equally, and that the intention and spirit of the Law is carried out to its utmost.

Byard --

If this is the equivalent of Senate hearings, then I wish there would be such near unanimity and goodwill on a candidate in real life.

(And I won't pepper you with questions on abortion).
