THE ULTIMATE BAND

My ULTIMATE BAND would be:

Vocals: Roger Daltrey (The Who) - Such diverse vocals. He ranged from the fast paced and tough "My Generation" to "Behind Blue Eyes".

Drummer: Neil Pert (Rush) - This was a tough call but I would have to say that he is just a tad better than Bonham. Pert had lightning powered drumsticks and could turn his set into a machine.

Bassist: Dusty Hill (ZZ Top) - Kickass bassist.

Electric Guitar: Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) - He could go from hard hitting tracks like "Black Dog" and "Heartbreaker" (excellent live, btw) to the easy going "Stairway to Heaven".

Good choices! Mine would be:

Vocals: Jim Morrison (The Doors)

Drums: Keith Moon (The Who)

Bass: Jaco Pastorius (Weather Report)

Lead Guitar: Eric Clapton (Blues Breakers, Cream, Derek & the Dominoes, Blind Faith, etc.)

OMG! Except for Clapton, they're all dead! Guess I'll have to hear them in heaven.

For vocals it was between Roger and Jim. Jim is great but I dunno if his voice would go quite right with faster paced music that tends to come with Clapton's guitar.

Anybody who blows up their drumset on stage without the rest of th band knowing before hand is awesome, in my opinion.
