As well as no highrises by the lake.

No, unfortunately not Phuket. It is in the wrong country. And this city is not in a neighbouring country of Thailand, but not too far either.

Hint: this is the "backside" of the city, the other side is world famous.

It's not Jakarta, and you went in the wrong direction from Phuket.

(Also, I know Indonesia is a neighbour of Australia and all, but to other people Jakarta might not be that known - this city on the other hand is known by everyone)

Hi - its not in the UK - these are good guesses. I picked it because it looked like it could be the UK, particularly with that canal.

This is continental Europe. This country doesn't have that much coastline in relation to its size but this city is relatively close to the sea
