I'm still not clear on this. I can find nothing in the Court rules that suggests that a Grand Jury is formed in criminal proceedings. In fact in my own trial no such jury was formed. Surely, the presiding Judge should be posting formal notice of charges?

While I agree with Polts' view of this amendment, this whole thing feels rather like attempting to stop a tap dripping just after the water tank has burst. Dicovering why Government Ministers repeatedly fail to do the job they were elected to do and fixing that would seem rather more pressing.
