    Regional Assembly Rules (Amendment) Bill

I support the new version allowing the proposer to request but giving the discretion to the Speaker.

I will state for the record that I'm against the RON change. Everything else I am in agreement with.

July 2024 Discussion on Amendments to the EC Rules

I think something's off with the ordering of the new Section Six clauses. I think the new clause 6 should be right after clause 2, and the new clauses 7-9 should be between the new clauses 4 and 5. Also noting that the section as it currently stands has two clauses both numbered 2, so the...

July 2024 Discussion on Amendments to the EC Rules

I feel like the RON part has a bit more political consideration to it. By forcing people to choose an option for RON, it creates more awareness for what RON is and puts more spotlight on the yes vote. So the change would make RON less likely to succeed. Personally, I'm in favour of the status...

July 2024 Discussion on Amendments to the EC Rules

I don't think anyone confused that ballot with the real Pallaith. Any reasonable person can recognise that if a private ballot ID is someone's actual name, then it's probably not that person who voted since that would have defeated the point of private voting.

July 2024 Discussion on Amendments to the EC Rules

Agreed. I don't see how setting your ballot ID to NuclearCheese24 harms the integrity of the private ballot.

[Draft] Repeal Prevention Of Hate Crime

You will find little support for this proposal here. Freedom of speech is important, but it is not absolute.

    Question for the Vice Delegate

You stated in your April 18 report that you had to get through exams, which is fair enough. You then didn't post a report for an entire month, between April 18 and May 20. Granted, some of that time was occupied by the extended NationStates outage, but that ended before the start of May. You...

    Question for the Vice Delegate

Vice Delegate @Chipoli, based on the frequency of your recent reports, are monthly reports now the expected norm, or do you intend to return to weekly reports as your predecessors have done for several years?

It was an admin who suggested it, so I would assume it is doable.

Amendment: Require Notice of Private Ballot Edits

I feel like this would be a better solution than what is currently proposed, if admins and forum users at large are open to it: https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9198321/post-10687599

[Feedback] Remove the Edit Message Ability from Conversations

Want to talk more about this because it seems like everyone has just ignored it. In my view, setting a time limit can assuage the concerns of those who want to fix errors in their messages, but can also provide a useful way for the Election Commission to better deal with private ballots - the EC...

    Dreadton, The Art of War

While it is entirely within your right to do so, it's interesting that you've chosen to come in with a series of thinly veiled questions clearly aimed at attacking an opponent's credibility. I would be grateful if you would instead address the issues of your own credibility given your past...

[GA, defeated] - Promoting Ethnic and Cultural Equality

Well, I can't be bothered finding historic rulings on RNT, but "strictly necessary" seems like very restrictive language by nature. It's intended to bind the sovereign. I'm still against.

[GA, defeated] - Promoting Ethnic and Cultural Equality

What's the interpretation of "strictly necessary"? My interpretation is that it has to be the only reasonable way of mitigating the harm that has been done. It seems like a very high bar to clear for me, and I think Comfed's example is one that seems like reasonable government policy but doesn't...

    Gorundu's Security Council Application

I suppose Sanctaria and Comfed have already largely expressed what I wanted to say. Given the Security Council's statement, it appears the majority of the Council believes my actions last July and August meant that I can no longer be trusted by the community, even several months later. Was it...
