Beer of the week!

I really enjoyed this cask beer! :toast:

Abbot Reserve
6.5% English Strong Ale
Greene King (England)

Abbot Reserve is a distinctive full bodied, smooth and mature beer bursting with fruit cake and toffee flavours.
Bottles are available throughout the year however cask beer is only brewed during November and December.

Well, the SC has been busy, as usual, endorsing and trying to keep our endorsements up above the 80% line, however, @Sil Dorsett is still under that line, I am sure they will get over the line very soon. :D

I would still like to see some SCers get passed that 85% line.

The fluctuations in our endorsements are governed by how many WA nations CTE or leave the region, since last weeks report we have seen a small decline in our endorsement levels.

Last Week we had 801 WA nations, we have lost 10 WA's over the week and have a total of 791 as of today.

We have also seen a small increase in numbers for the 'Keepers of The North' from 444 to 446 in the weekly reporting period.

Since last weeks report we have seen a small decline in our endorsement levels.

Last Week we had 791 WA nations, we have lost 5 WA's over the week and have a total of 786 as of today.

We have also seen a small decrease in numbers for the 'Keepers of The North' from 446 to 443 in the weekly reporting period.

Well done to @Great Bights Mum for achieving 100% in giving endorsements. :salute:

‘Ariana Grinder’ on the Tyne and Wear Metro network

The Tyne and Wear Metro’s newest rail maintenance vehicle has been named Ariana Grinder, in a playful nod to musician Ariana Grande, following an internal competition by Nexus.

Ariana Grinder will help maintain the Metro system’s 77km of track by grinding rail surfaces to remove defects and ensure the correct profile.

The work extends the life of both the rails and the trains’ wheels, while making journeys smoother for passengers.

The new machine can complete re-profiling tasks more efficiently than previous manual methods.

Manufactured by German company Möser Maschinenbau GmbH, the rail grinder is a specialised railway maintenance machine.

I had several pints of this beer while I was away in Tenby. :toast:

Cwtch​

Tiny Rebel Brewing Co

Red Ale - American Amber / Red

Probably the best word ever.

Cwtch (rhymes with butch) can mean either cuddle or cubbyhole.

Grab a glass, relax and cwtch up with this untraditional Welsh red ale - a perfect blend of six caramelly malts and three citrussy American hops.

It isn’t your average bitter - the hops do more to this deep amber coloured beer than just provide bite.

Any old hop can do that!

We’ve selected some of the most aromatic and tangy hops from the other side of the pond to give this red a fresh hit that complements the caramel flavours of the malts that gives this beer its colour.

Drinkability and balance makes this beer.

We love a good Cwtch, and we’re not the only ones…

Train Picture of The Week

East Midlands Railway (EMR) Aurora train, which is a British Rail Class 810.

These are bi-mode multiple units constructed by Hitachi Rail for operation on the Midland Main Line.

Each train is designed to offer 24% more seats and 19% more legroom in a typical five-carriage formation compared to previous trains.

The trains feature improved air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and plug sockets at every seat.

There are a total of 33 trains ordered for the franchise.

XXXB (Triple XB)​

Batemans Brewery
Bitter - Extra Special / Strong (ESB)

4.8% ABV

A malty multiple-winner of CAMRA’s Champion Premium Beer of Britain, Batemans much loved XXXB is what you’d call an English tawny beer. Just like the first batch crafted in 1978, it’s brewed with four malts and three varieties of hops, for a deliciously spicy, fruity and biscuity flavour.

June 21st 2026​

Over the last week we lost 1 WA nation overall, with 768 last week in total compared with 767 as of today.

We have also lost 5 'Keepers of The North', we now have a total of 436 Keepers at the end of the reporting period.

I other news, we have lost 2 security Councillors this week! :(

@Rocketdog [June 18th] and @TlomzKrano [June 20th], both lost citizenship,

Bren has since regained their citizenship and is currently re-applying for the SC.

Tlomz also CTEd the same day a losing their citizenship, they have resurrected their nation, but at the time of writing has not re-applied for WA membership.

These nations are not new NS players and have been on the SC for some considerable time.

An SCer is not term limited, once you're on the team it's for life, unless you get fed up and leave or are recalled. :lol:

What is regarded as a given as an SCer, at minimum, is to collect endorsements continually and, post something on the RMB or TNP forum regularly.
