Opening Address, July 2026

WAA’s back, tell a friend!

WA Affairs has come roaring back for the new term, our spirits high and our activity robust as ever despite being in the middle of summer. This term is, in my opinion, more special than the last: it is the first in which the Ministry will exclusively engage with a post-reset GA and a revamped WA, bringing with them new opportunities and challenges. The previous term was a good trial run for navigating the reset, and the experience we gained then will prove immensely useful to adapting to a new world. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be back in action once more as Minister of WA Affairs, riding the winds of change together with Delegate @Halsoni and Ministry staff.

Thus far, the IFV thread reform has largely solved the perennial issue of late/missing IFVs, freeing our attention and focus for other, larger projects. This term, my priority is to turn our Guaranteed Sponsorship program into a regional initiative, expanding its membership beyond Ministry staff and reaching out to resident Keepers of the North and NPA soldiers. We have the resources and the diplomatic network to raise a new generation of TNP WA authors, and it’s time to put them to the best possible use.

As the resolution queue continues to grow, the Ministry will closely monitor and prepare for future developments of the Adoption/Compliance system. The day when site admins increase the compliance threshold to 80% may result in a lot of WA nations suddenly losing their voting rights, so we should at least cushion the fall by increasing public awareness of the system and encouraging all WA nations in TNP to adopt new resolutions as soon as practicable. I will be discussing solutions to address this problem with Ministry leadership over the next few weeks, but for now, we have the GA Compliance dispatch pinned as an educational guide.

Although the Ministry’s staff has been revitalised, we are not out of the woods yet. The month of August has usually been when the summer lull was at its strongest in the past, so it will be a challenge to maintain consistent activity until summer ends in early September. It demands the active, constant involvement of an energetic Minister and his Deputies to keep the Ministry going. Fortunately, I very much believe we are up to the task. My all-star team of Deputies, @Voopmont, @Cretox, and @Inevitable Poverty will continue serving in their posts this term with typical readiness and excellence. As a side note, we are discussing ways to reward our staffers for their contributions with titles or badges, which will likely be finalised over the coming weeks.

Any of you who are standing on the sidelines, who dream of becoming an accomplished WA author or even a future WA Minister, join us. Sign up for the Guaranteed Sponsorship program today. We will help you, and you will have a good time with all of us.

At your service,
12811

Minister of World Assembly Affairs
