The North Pacific has been my home for many years now. I came around initially as a roleplayer on the RMB settings, dabbled with the North Pacific Army, played some roles in the Ministries of Culture and Radio, and found my people. The people I met along the way helped me grow, helped me mature, helped me see that the most important thing we can have, that we all share, that we all strive for; is community. Belonging, hope for todays that are better than yesterdays. Over the years, I've also come to be entrusted with some positions in the community overseeing the day to day goings on, ensuring the safety of our offsite environments, and even in those roles, community became ever so important. I came to the realization that when we work together, when we sit and talk, play games together, resolve our disagreements with open and honest discussions, there is nothing this community cannot accomplish.
Now I am here to officially announce my candidacy for Delegate, in hopes to further that sense of community.
I'm going to start with a very honest statement: I am not running because I believe I have a monopoly on good ideas or because I think I alone can guide our region. The strength of The North Pacific has never belonged to any one official, nor should it. Our strength resides in our collective community, in the tireless regional assembly members, the dedicated roleplayers, the active defenders, and every citizen who calls this region home.
For me, the role of Delegate isn't about the prestige of the seat, I see it as a responsibility, and a privilege, to listen, to facilitate, and to serve.
If I can earn your trust, and your vote, my platform will be built around three core hopes for our region.
A Culture of Togetherness: We thrive when we act as a cohesive community. I want to bridge the gaps between our various regional sectors, ensuring that gameplay, roleplay, and regional governance aren’t isolated silos, but connected parts of a vibrant whole.
Accessible and Humble Governance: I promise to maintain an open-door policy. I will establish regular executive updates and feedback threads, ensuring that your voices actively shape our regional policy before decisions are made, not after.
Fostering New Voices: Hope for the future means investing in it today. I want to focus heavily on mentorship, ensuring that newer citizens have the tools, environment, and encouragement they need to become the next generation of leaders.
This office belongs to you, the community. I don't see myself as a solitary leader, but as a facilitator for our shared goals. I am running to stand beside you, to listen to your ideas, and to work hard every day to keep The North Pacific a welcoming, stable, and thriving home for us all.
Thank you for your time, your consideration, and most importantly, for everything you already do to make our community what it is. I look forward to our conversations in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Em
