Montgovia, officially the Montgovian Federation, is a sovereign state in Eutavia, located west of Sutherland. Its administrative capital is the city of Highwater, although three other cities host national institutions, being Antaro, Antarovine, and Matraphan. The federation contains two constituent countries - the Montgovian Federal Commonwealth, and the Sonderbourg Confederation.
Montgovia is linguistically and culturally diverse, but is unified by its dominant and native religion, Montedonism. Features of Montgovian society, including compulsory pescetarianism and the Water Basin Land System, are heavily influenced by Montedonism, especially Meridionalist Montedonism, which originated in the Montedonist holy city of Matraphan. Montgovian Courantism is also widespread, mainly due to the influence and institutionalization of the Jesuit Montegovian Missions.
