The Nordenlands, Kingdom of
Le Royaume des Pays-Nord / De Nordenlændsryke
The Kingdom of the Nordenlands (st. Le Royaume des Pays-Nord, br. De Nordenlændsryke), more commonly known as the Nordenlands (st. Pays-Nord, br. Nordenlænde) and unofficially as Nordeny, is a unitary devolved constitutional monarchy in Northern Gothis. It is bordered by Andrenne and Duchrijeka, with a plentiful coastline to the Northern Sea. The capital city of the Nordenlands is Luxelles, which is the third-largest city in the nation before Wincord and Pierrefonds, and after Sydney and Nichy. The Nordenlands covers approximately 32,322 square kilometres and has a population of over 18.4 million, being one of the most densely populated nations in the world. Despite its relatively small size, the nation occupies a strategically central position in Gothis and historically functioned as a political, military and commercial crossroads. The Nordenlands is a devolved state of three regions and two language communities, reflecting its linguistic and cultural diversity. The devolved regions are Roumandy, Brensex and the Ixelles Capital Region. The three language communities are the Roumand Community (Santonian-speaking) and Brestian Community. The country is a constitutional monarchy under Queen Mathilde II and Prince Dominique under the reign of the House of Framboise. The currrent head of government is the Prime Minister, who is currently Lindsay Hollingsworth. The unicameral legislature of the nation, the Folketing (in both languages), is located in Weshavel, Ixelles. The Folketing has 277 sitting members, with no seats vacant as of 2026.
The economy of the Nordenlands is developed and diverse, with the largest industries being banking, tourism, automotives and pharmaceuticals. The nominal GDP of the nation is $934.1 billion, with a per capita index of $50,770. The official currency of the Nordenlands is the Norden Lire, which is printed by the Monnaie Royale in Ixelles under the permission of the HM Government. The economy is majorly mixed, since the reforms following the Fascist Wars cemented the Nordenlands as a social democratic welfare state, with Norden characteristics. The Norden economy had experienced major shocks, such as the 1945-1952 Auroral Depression, 1984 Statsborse collapse (the Black Wednesday) and the 2015 financial crisis, however is considered largely recovered from the latter.
