The Wellspring joined The Sunrise Pact

The Wellspring has joined a new alliance called The Sunrise Pact as an Observer State which is about WA and cooperating with different regions on WA proposals and resolutions in the GA. It is also a space for any aspiring and newcomer authors to get help inspired with writing up ga resolutions and proposals, be offered advice, and get help sharing your own advice on proposals and resolutions as well: https://discord.gg/8epg8Vgh .

Thank you for sharing, but I am confused why such an announcement needs to include what is effectively an advertisement for the organization in question.

As an aside, I find this to be a confusing move by The Wellspring given it has ostensibly left NS gameplay, and the WA is a core aspect of NS gameplay such that the Sunrise Pact’s position on matters and its effects will inevitably lead to gameplay involvement. Particularly as the Sunrise Pact has set itself up as the antithesis to the Sovereign Seven, greater conflict in gameplay and negative attention to TW is likely to ensue from this decision.

As an aside to the aside, I was under the impression the Sunrise Pact was essentially dead, so I’m not sure why this was considered a good idea in the first place.

The above announcement is incorrect; Turbiatop was acting beyond his position and without consulting the greater leadership of The Wellspring, acting with out authority when he represented and requested observer status within The Sunrise Pact. He has since resigned from his post in place of being removed directly due to this.

I would like to take this moment to apologize to those affected. We have worked hard internally to discuss and define what it means to be removed from GP, and joining a voting bloc is not that. We look forward to creating additional cultural ties and events with vibrant regions that share our cultural values and hope that the actions of one person do not reflect negatively on the entirety of the region, as we continue to work on becoming a cultural spring of Nationstates.
