Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to read my campaign to be your next Speaker of the Regional Assembly.

I'm a rather new face in TNP, having joined back in July, but I've spent the time I have been here learning all that I can. I've indexed all of our regional nation's dispatches, dug through our legal code, earned the Top Recruiter role in the executive server, proposed and passed the NPA Unrestricting Amendment, and subsequently put my money where my mouth is by deploying with the NPA.

There are a few things that I want to pursue as Speaker:
  1. Encourage new citizens to propose and debate legislation - The Speaker is one of the three people who verifies and welcomes new citizens to the forums, and is in the perfect spot to reach out to new people to guide them to the current debates in the Regional Assembly. Doing this alongside the Integration Ministry welcoming new players and citizens to the game should help to continue making the RA an interesting and active part of our region.
  2. Sustain the RA Digest - Speaker Cosmic has been publishing the bi-weekly digest of what's going on in the RA, and its continuance to serve as a spotlight of our legislative activity is a must.
  3. Have semimonthly spotlight on chapters of the Legal Code - For most people, understanding and digesting legalese is not the most fun thing, but its an important part of being in a civilized community. Having a series of spotlights on what our current laws say, and breaking it down into a more understandable format will help our existing citizenry understand our laws and may even spark someone to change what they learn about.
Please reach out to me here or on discord @Foske0 if you have any questions.

It is good to see you run for office. Seeing as you have not, as far as I know, served in the Speaker's office before, have you familiarized yourself to any degree with the process for conducting citizenship checks?

I think this platform section is a very interesting idea and would be willing to assist you with this if you would like.

Thank you for the encouragement on my platform.
As for the process of citizenship checks, my understanding is that there are three parts to it - The Speaker checks legal standing, such as a proper oath and a qualifying resident nation, the Vice Delegate checks for 'in-game' security threats, and the forum admin team does 'out-of-game' security checks with IP verification and the like.

This campaign looks great, and I truly appreciate its aesthetic appeal. I enjoy appreciating beautiful things, and I believe that putting extra effort into aesthetics is beneficial for the creative talent in the region, so thank you for that.

My question focuses less on the details of your campaign and more on how you believe it will benefit your career in the region. You have demonstrated significant promise and knowledge regarding the game's inner workings, and if I recall correctly, you mentioned that you are a returning player. I would like to know what you envision for your future and where you aim to go. What are your plans?

I think that you put some interesting ideas forward in your campaign. I'm concerned however, considering that the Speaker's office is one that has traditionally valued continuity and experience in the past. The Speaker's office requires a good amount of work and a lot of it takes a bit to get the hang of outside of just citizenship applications. Seeing as you've never been a Deputy Speaker, how do you plan to get the experience and understanding required for the role?

Thank you for the kind words about the aesthetics with the poster. I like to try my hand at new things and I had a cool fox picture on hand that worked for the poster.

Speaking of trying new things, that is ultimately my goal with what I'm doing here in The North Pacific. I want to try my hand at every thing that I can, and do it well if possible. I've been getting a good handle on Integration, seeing both Orange and Petro running the ministry, and taking my time to understand the guides for The North Pacific Army when I can. Eventually I want to have done each job at least once, find what works best for me here.

Realistically, I only have two options for gaining that experience. The first is by having competent deputies and gracious former Speakers show me the ropes of what I don't already understand, and the second is to figure out myself what to do when someone brings up an issue about something I'm not doing - the trial by fire method, which I heavily dislike. I trust this community enough to lend me a hand in quickly filling in any gaps of knowledge that I have. Everyone that I've reached out to privately has been nothing but helpful.
