Who Founded Arvinism?

Arvinism was founded in the late 1090’s CE by courantist priest Janus Arvinus, ministering to the faithful in the dukedom of Kufen (now southern Hessunland) Janus began to question the practices of the church and came to conclusions which would lead to the creation of a new faith and the world being forever changed. He preached the new churches gospel in Kufen for several months but was soon driven north by courantist nobility who sought his death for heresy.

After a long and arduous journey north, Janus came to the port city of Naesserhafen and it was here that he would settle and cement his place as one of the great prophets of Messianism. The city was plagued by demons that tormented its citizens at night and who stalked the edges of the land, always ready to lead the unfortunate into sin. St Janus’s took up the emerald cross and preached of the lord’s mercy; in doing so the demons were driven back to hell, this became known as the miracle at the Naesser.

St Janus taught that all bore the same divine soul and that anyone could embody the role of messiah, in a moment of true holiness and grace all human beings could be a messiah. St Janus encouraged active charity and the hard work of making the world better in the here and now, unlike the old church which clung to visions of a second coming and remained unmoved, St Janus and his ministry actively sought to bring gods love and mercy to the people of the world.

His teachings would be gathered and codified within the middle testament of the emerald bible, this sacred tome guiding our early church as it grew from an isolated sect into a true equal to the other houses of God. St Janus ascended to gods side in 1129 and there was much mourning, he was entombed in the catacombs of Naesserhafen and would be known hence as the “Naesserine” the prophet had passed from the earth but his work would be continued.

Over time the church on the Naesser grew to become the dominant faith in northern Hessunland and when the reformation led to the great schism the Naesserine’s faithful were at the forefront of the council of Hessenberg in 1655. St Janus’s teaching were eagerly adopted by the nobility of northern Hessunland who chafed against the political and spiritual inflexibility of Courantist doctrine.

What do Arvinists believe?

We believe in the concept of the “good works” every man, woman and child on this earth has been given the gift of a soul by god almighty and each of us has the ability to earn salvation through active service. The Arvinist rite dictates that the faithful must take the lead in their salvation, each must be his own Messiah and contribute to the great work of making a kinder and more pious world for all.

Is Arvinism Laurenist?

Though we share many similarities with the later reformation we are not a laurenist denomination, rather Arvinism is a separate sect of Messianism. The Naesserine faith in fact predates Laurenism by several centuries. Much of the confusion seems to have arisen from our strong presence during the reformation in Hessunland in which we worked tirelessly with Laurenist churches to make the land fairer and more spiritually free.

Isn’t it true that Arvinism rejects the Messiah?

Not at all! We venerate the son of God as all Messianist’s do, where we defer is how we live the teachings of Yeshua. In Arvinist theology it is taught that each must take individual responsibility for his own salvation. The lord has blessed all mankind, we are made in the creator’s image and possess the virtues and divine origin with which to emulate the acts of the first messiah. Thought we are cursed with Original Sin god is merciful and has given us all we require to save our souls. In Arvinism it is taught that we are all capable of embodying the role of Messiah by adhering to the good works and aiding our fellow man.

Who can be Arvinist?

Anyone, the lord’s grace is open to all who strive for a better world, you need only reach out and he shall embrace you!

Do i have to be Gotic?

Anyone can be Arvinist, the lord made all nations and all peoples and we welcome any who seek salvation through the teachings of St. Janus

What about LGBTQ+?

We do not discriminate, gods grace is open to all, Arvinist teachings draw clear separation between the old Levitical laws and their fulfillment and obsolescence, a feat made possible by the first messiah.

Do Arvinists dislike other faiths?

We believe that god has offered salvation to all peoples and while we hold that our faith is the legitimate expression of gods will, we know that the lord has many faces and guises with which to inspire man. Anyone can be saved, whether they choose to bear the mantle of Shaddaist, Mehrabist, Kensu, Ivaran,Courantist or indeed Ivaran. The keys to the gates of paradise will be granted to those who carry out the good work here on earth, god cares not what form those pure souls take.
