Founded on 15 May 1893 by Shinzo Soto in the town of Mogami, located in Tohoku State, the company began as a modest sewing machine manufacturer. Over the course of more than a century, Soto Corporation evolved into a leading force in both traditional and emerging industries, maintaining a consistent focus on innovation while upholding the values of precision and reliability. The Soto family, from which the company derives its name, traces its lineage to the feudal-era Soto Clan, a distinguished noble family during the daimyo period. Yoshikage Soto continues to serve as President, ensuring strategic continuity and upholding the legacy of the founding family.
