The World Assembly,
The quality of food consumed by citizens is very important. Maintaining high food quality is important to insure the citizens are kept in good health. In addition, contaminated food increases the risk of sickness from FBI (Food Borne Illness)
This new resolution will help to get quality meals to citizens, and limit the spread of Food Borne Illness.
- Minimum Food Quality
- Nations who don't enough funding to feed citizens may be gifted international aid by the world assembly.
- Food must meet minimum food standards to make it to the shelves. This included not being contaminated with dangerous substances. These would include lead, cadmium, mercury, etc.
- Adding to the previous item, if a product is below minimum quality standards, it must be removed from sale immediately.
- WA Nations are encouraged to start a program to teach citizens about food quality.
- Medical Programs
- Hospitals with utilities to cure food infections are to be funded by the assembly.
- WA nations will conduct mandatory research on food disease in order to reach a minimum threshold of safety.
- The citizens of WA nations can receive recommendations for healthcare program to help people infected with FBI's recover.
- Nations are encouraged to invest in healthcare programs
- Nations are encouraged to spread awareness of the problem that is Food Borne Illness, and fund medical programs to improve healthcare and knowledge on Food Borne Illness.
- Global Cooperation is encouraged to help make progress on eliminating these types of diseases.
- Support For Homeless People
- A small portion of the income made by a state will be used to help feed the homeless and less fortunate people in society.
- The previously mentioned healthcare programs will be used to help these people.
- A small portion of WA funds will be split between nations, with the poorest nations getting a little bit more, and the money will be spent on improving food quality.
- New Health Standards
- Any food that breaks the lead limits of 10 Parts Per Billion of lead is unacceptable, and must be removed from the market immediately.
- Every food that cannot be served raw must be be cooked for a minimum amount of time before it can
- Food sellers caught selling contaminated food may be forced to pay a large fine, or serve time in jail.
- WA Nations are mandated to hire health inspectors. WA food inspectors are authorized if a nation is unable to afford their own inspectors, or the infrastructure required.
- WA nations may also receive funding to help research technology to fight against food poisoning.
- Food Banks
- WA nations are encouraged to set up
national food banks.
- In the mentioned food banks of 5a, citizens are encouraged to donate to help feed the less fortunate.
- A portion of the food donated will be saved to be given to citizens that are below a certain income threshold, decided on by the state.
