Welcome to the 2024 World League of Gojan Football!

While Gojan Football doesn't enjoy the popularity of association football (aka soccer), it has remained the most popular sport in its native Goyanes by a large margin. Gojan football has also traditionally found fertile ground in Auroria in the Imperium and Scalvia. Recent inroads have also been made in Craviter and Meterra. In light of rising popularity, the WLGF was formed, and an international tournament arranged to showcase the sport.

Week One

Prydania 102.16
Sil Dorsett 161.84

Suavidicia 104.38
Ultramont 82.76

Goyanes 102.38
Pozolanni 81.30

Atoijak 104.52
FEU 93.76

Yalkan 91.74
Syrixia 120.26

Saintonge 112.18
Dhahara 130.86

Hexastalia 105.62
Ephyra 77.38

Notes
  • Goyanes proves itself in week one, picking up an easy win.
  • Yalkan, a nation tied closely to Goyanes, fell to Syrixia.
  • Suavidicia, the tournament's second favourite, proved itself in week one as well.

OOC Notes

The above scores are the cumulative totals of our teams' stats. These are, unfortunately, unrealistic for football scores. To get more realistic scoring divide your score by four and round up or down to the nearest whole.

Week Two

Sil Dorsett 75.24
Goyanes 135.84

Ultramont 88.80
Atoijak 109.96

Pozolanni 93.60
Yalkan 123.36

FEU 115.42
Saintonge 112.42

Syrixia 105.40
Hexastalia 165.28

Dhahara 87.14
Ephyra 69.14

Prydania 80.52
Suavidicia 95.18

Week Two kicked off with a bang. Sil Dorsett had to come back down to Eras, facing the inventors and innovators of the sport, losing to Goyanes. Poor Pozolanni had to deal with Yalkan, another nation with a fine history of gridiron football, losing after losing to Goyanes in Week One. The third powerhouse of the tournament, Suvidicia, took care of business against Prydania. In a battle of two winless teams, the FEU squad squeeked out a nail-biter against Saintonge. Meanwhile Hexastalia, Dhahara, and Atoijak quietly took care of business, advancing to 2-0 themselves.

Week Three
Yalkan 76.08
Sil Dorsett 86.08

Saintonge 137.74
Ultramont 80.80

Hexastalia 103.18
Pozolanni 92.10

Ephyra 79.60
FEU 106.26

Dhahara 130.16
Syrixia 109.10

Prydania 112.26
Goyanes 83.68

Atoijak 123.52
Suavidicia 129.06

Upsets abound as Craviter tops Gothis! Sil Dorsett and Prydania, two newcomers to the sport, defeated gridiron inventors and innovators Goyanas and Yalkan. Meanwhile Suavidicia remained undefeated, besting Atoijak in an All-Aurorian match that went down to the wire. Saintonge logged its first win in the Battle of Saintophones, defeating Ultramont easily. Dhahara and Hexastalia make a case for themselves as the top teams of the tournament. Ephyra remains the lowest scoring team on the field, but leads by penalty yards by a wide margin!

Late Night News:

The F.E.U National Team again proved its worth following a decisive victory against Ephyra on Friday, led by Captain Fred Sanc the team held a moment of silence for the tragic victims of Ethian one and played the entire game with funeral black armbands. Driven by grief and the hopes of a wounded nation the Ethian team delivered a win that has left the cities of the Union celebrating wildly. Captain Sanc had the following to say:

"We are hurting, as a team and as a country, but I want you all to know that we will carry on, we are one united Ethia and neither terrorists nor division will ever break our union, this one is for you all back home, keep the faith and gods bless the FEU!"

Interim President Eric Hannibal Cain announced via twitcher and Bvundza accounts:

"Incredibly proud of our national team, you have done an immense job in boosting our nation's spirits, keep up the good work and god bless the FEU!"

Pozolannian National Team Snaps Sil Dorsettian Eight Game Winning Streak
December 2nd, 2024
By: Tristian Bachelet

The Sil Dorsettian National Gojan Football Team's winning streak has come to an end, ending with eight straight wins, including against league leaders The Suavidicians.

The Pozolannian National Team, who are already guaranteed a losing record for the season, ensured the Dorsettian high-scoring trio of Christian Haubert, Pierre Martin, and Corentin Sénac were powerless to stop their vengeance-fueled advance. Though the final score was a close 28 to 21, this did not reflect the dominance the Pozolannian team had over their opponents in possession and opportunities. Christian Haubert's fumble in the 2nd quarter gave the Pozolannians, who returned said fumble for a touchdown, a lead in which the Dorsettians were able to come back from.

Meanwhile, Team Suavidicia punched their ticket into the playoffs with a win over Dalport. The Sil Dorsettians still need one win in the final two games to guarantee a playoff spot, with Prydania and Goyanes on deck to attempt to stop them.
