Formation of the Committee on Foreign Relations
In addition to the Cabinet, this Committee will now serve as the central forum in which the government's foreign strategy is discussed among senior advisors. The membership of the Committee is at the discretion of the delegate and minister of foreign affairs, but unlike the office of deputy minister, will not be newly selected at the beginning of each term. Instead, the membership will remain constant, subject to the personnel decisions of the delegate and foreign minister.
During this term, I have noticed that some important decisions have been discussed mainly in personal conversations between the delegate and advisors. This is partly my own fault, and I apologize to anyone I have inconvenienced in this way. With the formation of the Committee, foreign affairs decision-making will be centralized into the committee and the cabinet to the highest degree possible, so as to ensure that everyone is on the same page and key discussions/decisions are not fragmented between individuals.
