Carcassonne Election Results

On the 4th of Boisaire (October 29), Carcassonne's elections for the positions of Minister-President and Citizen-Speaker closed.

For the office of Minister-President, Ladratia proved victorious over his opponents Reside and Caligur. In his victory address, Ladratia promised to introduce many of the domestic policy ideas he came up with during his campaign. He also announced his cabinet as follows:


Minister of Foreign Affairs: Reside, lead diplomat in charge of the Foreign Service.
Minister of Education: Procyonid Republic, leading education and training initiatives for new citizens, soldiers, ministers, etc.
Minister of War: Stelmund, who will work with His Imperial Majesty Ysengrim to lead the Grand Army of the Crowned Republic.
Minister of Culture: Pauline Bonaparte, who will spearhead regional events, the Voice of the People newspaper, and worldbuilding/RP initiatives.
Minister of Engagement: Fenteu, who will run regular regional polls.

Carcassonne's Speaker election ended in a result no one was expecting: a tie between candidates Karlsefni and Porfloxonne. The two candidates agreed to a unique power sharing agreement while the Ecclesia determines how to resolve a tied election in the future. The further question of whether to introduce an off-site forum for the passage and recording of laws is also being discussed.
