New NPA Generals
2 August, 2023
Over the past year or two, the NPA General Staff had been slowly depleted through various departures and a lack of suitable candidates to fill in these gaps. This meant that the High Command pretty much gets an entirely new crew every term when the Ministers and Deputy Ministers switch out, and that hasn’t been ideal for continuity in strategic discussions at that level. Recently, Minister of Defence @Comfed raised the prospect of new additions to myself and the NPA High Command, and we have decided to announce the promotion of three officers to the NPA's General staff. All of these individuals have demonstrated a significant commitment to the NPA and are skilled in the realm of military gameplay.
The following, in alphabetical order, are promoted to General:
@Icarus was initially brought to us by Hulldom as Minister of Defence, and took on that role with utmost enthusiasm, demonstrating her proven abilities in leadership and military gameplay to give the NPA a much-needed injection of activity. Although it was unfortunate that she couldn’t serve in that role for as long as we all want her to, her service with the NPA as an Officer did not stop with her tenure as Minister. Her wisdom from years of experience in the game have been valuable to the NPA, and given the continued assistance she has provided from her considerable knowledge of military gameplay and foreign affairs, we believe Icarus will be an invaluable addition to the General Staff.
@Koopa103 has served the NPA capably and loyally for many years - in fact, more than any current members of High Command. Koopa has been a go-to deputy for several Ministers of Defence, and has always been around to offer help when the NPA needs it. And that’s without mentioning his own service as Minister of Defence, which he took on during an especially challenging time for the NPA. We are happy to say that Koopa has finally reached the highest rung on the ladder after running the gamut of roles in the NPA.
@Zaz is no stranger to High Command, having been a longtime former General and multi-term Minister of Defence. After a hiatus from the NPA and NS, we are glad to see that he has returned with plenty of enthusiasm over these past few months. By restoring his former rank as General, we will be benefiting from his experience and wisdom accumulated over his many years of service. Welcome back, Zaz!
Please congratulate all of these people on their promotions! High Command will be busy with discussions in the coming weeks and months, and the NPA is excited to bring you more good news very soon!
Signed,
Gorundu
