General Assembly Resolution #10 “Nuclear Arms Possession Act” (Category: International Security; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.
Recognizing that nuclear weapons pose a severe threat to world peace and the general welfare of humanity,
Realizing that it is the aim of the World Assembly to uphold the safety and interests of humanity,
Acknowledging that General Assembly Resolution #10 is vague in its regulation of nuclear weapons and,
Acknowledging that General Assembly Resolution #10 lacks provisions necessary for the prevention of abuse of nuclear weapons,
The World Assembly hereby repeals General Assembly Resolution #10 for the following causes:
1. General Assembly Resolution #10 is vague in structure
a. It may be perceived that General Assembly Resolution #10 is advocating for the storage or reserve of nuclear weapons
2. General Assembly Resolution #10 is weak in structure
a. The World Assembly, acting a decade in advance, has far more authority to address global crises of the day
b. The World Assembly, based on the aforementioned statements, has a right to uphold world peace
c. World peace cannot be achieved without duly regulating nuclear weapons
3. Nuclear war prevention and nuclear weapon stockpiles are a threat to humankind
a. General Assembly Resolution #10 weakens the World Assembly authority to address future concerns regarding nuclear weapons
b. Repealing General Assembly Resolution #10 will allow the World Assembly to regulate nuclear weapons in a modern and efficient manor
