I've had fun working with Minister Lionsmeow and his other Deputies, but it's time for me to step down. It's been a hard term for me, and I've found I'm no longer able to actively participate as much as I had hoped.
To this end, I would like to thank Lionsmeow for a chance to participate in his leadership team.

Hello everyone,

Following the previous Appointment of Cloud, I have the honour and pleasure to announce another addition to the Gameside Advocate team. @Griddyland will be joining our ranks with immediate effect! Gridland has qualified as a GA through his emergent RMB activity and behaviour. His immediate interest and passion for joining Discord, reading through all of my lengthy paragraphs, and of course fulfilling every requirement with ease are testaments to a good decision. I am very happy to welcome Gridland to the team. To a wonderful rest of the term, even with NationStates and the RMB currently down :p

Some Brief Remarks

Hello everyone, as you may have known I have been appointed as the new Minister of Home Affairs by Delegate Kaschovia for the rest of the term. This is definitely not how I imagined I'd get my first Ministerial position, but unusual times call for unusual solutions, or something like that. I thank Kasch for his confidence in my ability to serve and wish former Minister Lionsroar good luck in his life outside NationStates.

With only a few days left before the election ends, I will try my best to finish all outstanding projects in the Ministry and deliver a Closing Address for the term. It's an urgent task, but it must be done.

Also, I think you meant ‘desperate times call for desperate measures.’
 
I think you're a better fit in Comms. But I'm fairly confident you've got a big future in TNP, and players that have your kind of drive and dedication tend to perform well across the board.

Deputy Appointmens​

I hereby appoint @Free Social Conservatives, @Nutmeg The Squirrel and @Caius as deputy ministers.

Nutmeg and Caius are both very experienced within the field of Home Affairs. They will add valuable knowledge, expertise and a work ethic few possess here in TNP. It is a great feeling to have both of them with me coming into this term!

@Free Social Conservatives has done very well as a staffer and taken lots of responsibilities when it comes to manual recruitment and lists. It therefore was a no-brainer for me to offer them an opportunity as a deputy in TNP where they will have a chance to continue to develop.

I wish the best of luck to my deputies! Remember to take your oaths.

Statement from the Minister of Home Affairs​

Today, it came to my attention that one of my deputies has posted transphobic comments on the RMB in both TNP and TSP. This deputy has been an outstanding and reliable member of Home Affairs. Their engagement, work rate, and kindness will be missed. However, the Ministry of Home Affairs promotes inclusivity, equality, and respect for all individuals. These are values the deputy did not live up to through their comments. After conferring with others, I have decided to remove them from the ministry. Such comments are too inappropriate to allow them to continue serving in any capacity within the ministry.

Furthermore, I have also decided to remove a regular staffer from the ministry due to their ban from the region last Friday for trolling and homophobia.

Finally, I would like to remind everyone to respect each other and uphold the ministry's values, regardless of personal views. Spreading transphobia and homophobia, among other things, is not allowed and strongly condemned. If you see anything wrong, please report it to me.

New Appointment​

I hereby appoint @Picairn as a deputy minister of Home Affairs. They have already served as a deputy in this ministry and even finished last term as Minister of Home Affairs. Their great experience will therefore be a strong addition to the team of deputies. They will be the deputy in charge of the resource review group. Their contribution to that area of government has been incredible and their continued interest to helping out is deeply appreciated. I welcome you to the team!

Introduction of Staff Rewards

As part of my plans to introduce a reward system for Ministry of Home Affairs’ staffers and extend their recognition for the hard work they do, the Ministry of Home Affairs is now proud to announce the revival of the points program for our staffers, it is a tier-based, trading system where staffers can earn points by doing HA tasks and spend those points to reap card rewards, the full details of the rewards system can be found in the Staff Rewards and Badges. thread. You can also earn badges for reaching a certain milestone. Points have already been processed from the beginning of this term, so you can start claiming right now!

I hope this system of rewards re-invigorates the staffers of Home Affairs and motivates them to work harder for the ministry.

P.S: Huge shoutout to @9003 for contributing their cards for this program! this would’ve been a pain without them. Another shoutout to Delegate @Picairn for designing the badges!

Yet Another Appointment + Points Update

In what is likely to be the final deputy appointment for now, @9003 is hereby appointed as a Deputy Minister for Home Affairs. 9003 is known by many for his technical expertise and all round willingness to help out when needed. I'm excited to get his advice on some new ideas within the ministry and look forward to working with him within the leadership team.

@9003, please go take your oath!

I have also reset the points tallies for the new term and lowered the requirements for card rewards to 250 for an ultra-rare, 500 for an epic, and 1000 for a legendary. I may still make some changes to the length of time between card requests.
