He joined in 2011 and rose to countless positions until he ascended the Imperial Throne four years ago. In early December last year, Theoden has announced his intention to abdicate the Throne of the Land of Kings and Emperors. The Emperor will do so on 15th January 2022, and has made known his desire to adopt the title and position of Retired Emperor Sequentia, a role specifically created under Constitution XIII for former sovereigns, upon the Emperor Emeritus' consent.
To his subjects, Emperor Theoden has served the LKE in the most dedicated and thorough manner conceivable. His Supreme Majesty served as an effective and ground-breaking Prime Minister of our region during some of our most vibrant and successful periods in 2014 and 2015. The success of Emperor Theoden's reign was preceded by years of his experience and committed service as an LKE politician and statesman in royal, ministerial, legislative and military positions. He has admirably served as Crown Prince for over a year and a half before succeeding Onder. Under his reign, the LKE surpassed the 800-nation mark, breaking all previous records, and becoming the largest monarchist User Created Region and fifth largest UCR in NationStates. An intense level of roleplay activity and stunning military victories have marked his rule. We will never forget what he has achieved for us.
For several months already the Imperial House has planned the Emperor's abdication. Crown Prince Julio Von Arcadia-Sova has been prepared and he is an individual of notable distinction in his own right. His Supreme Highness has a recorded history in the region. In particular, he has served as Prime Minister, Minister and as a senior member of the legislature since joining. The Crown Prince has also been World Assembly Delegate for three years. He has faithfully served the LKE for over four years and we place the utmost faith in him as the Emperor's successor. Behind him sits Prince Rayregalia Von Arcadia-Sova, a respected and talented individual, as well as the Guardian Council of the LKE.
The Emperor announced his impending abdication to the general public in a brilliant speech delivered from Hedingham Palace. In this speech entitled "Inspire New Imperialism!" His Supreme Majesty reaffirmed everything we hold true about our region, beginning with our storied history and our military exploits throughout NationStates. He placed special emphasis on the status of the LKE as the premier imperialist region of NationStates. Our commitment to our military, to our history, and our refusal to abandon our foundations has allowed us to conquer our enemies in the past and will grant us the ability to conquer our enemies in the future. May they tremble before us.
