Cinema in Arcanstotska traces its origins back to 1896 with the brothers Georgiy and Miron Aliyev publishing their first feature film, The Pearl (1896). Arcanstotska's first female filmmaker, Klasha Popova, made her debut in the cinema world with the release of Summertime In Beaune (1904).

Arcanstotskan cinema took a major leap forward with the talking films or "talkies" introduced by Antoniy Melyanev in the late 1920s with the release of his first feature talking film, The Pianist of Alfsayev Street (1927). Melyanev produced numerous other talking films between the late 1920s and early 1930s. In 1933, he founded Melyanev Pictures—a company that remains a major player in the Arcanstotskan film industry to this day. He passed away on 11 October 1936, after being diagnosed with advanced leukemia a year earlier.

Cuisine
Main article: Arcanstotskan cuisine

The cuisine of Arcanstotska is eclectic and shares similarities with other regional cuisines. It also reflects Arcanstotska's climate and geography. Crops of rye, wheat, barley, and millet provide the basis for breads, pancakes, soups, cereals,

and many drinks. Bread, in fact, is popular in Arcanstotska and used in many foods ranging from sandwiches to breaded cutlets like svinaya otbivnaya. Pirozhki, blini, and syrniki are examples of native pancakes.

Prominent soups and stews include shchi and sour shchi (made with cabbage or sauerkraut, respectively), borscht, ukha, solyanka, and okroshka. Meats, such as pork and sausage, are common. Popular meat foods include shashlyk, pelmeni, beef stroganoff, kolbasa, and more. Cheeses are also prominent, such as ostsypek (a smoked cheese made of salted sheep milk, largely made in the Tykaya Mountains). Salad dishes, including coleslaw, sauerkraut, carrots, and seared beets, are also common.

Arcanstotska's traditional non-alcoholic beverage is kvass. Prominent alcoholic beverages include honey mead (popular since the middle ages), beer, wine, and vodka. Tea has also been growing in popularity in Arcanstotska for several decades.

Meals often conclude with desserts such as sernik (cheesecake), kremovka (cream pie), or even makovyy pirog (poppy seed roll).

Svetlana has been the national personification of the Arcanstotskan Republic since the Arcanstotskan Revolution of 1848, as a personification of liberty, democracy, equality, fraternity, and secular reason leading Arcanstotska to progress and prosperity.

Svetlana is a common symbol of the Arcanstotskan Republic and holds a place of honor in most government buildings, with busts and statues of her likeness in everything from town halls to courthouses, to the Sobirat building in Siloyev.

She is a prominent symbol of Arcanstotskan republicanism. As a national icon, Svetlana represents freedom and democracy, and opposition to all forms of oppressive government.
