Yehudi man hospitalized after being denied food during Rammudah
Friday, February the 12th, 2021

MIRAT — Yesterday, a Yehudi man by the name of Aaron Mizrachi was taken to hospital after collapsing outside of a food court at the Al-Siyadath mall. Upon arrival, the man was reported to be incredibly weak, dehydrated, starved, and feverish. Mizrachi was sustained and hydrated through a nasogastric tube and treated for severe sunstroke. It was only after several hours of pained recovery that the man was able to divulge that he was a Shaddaist and did not practice Rammudah. When questioned by physicians about why he partook in the day's fasting, Mizrachi replied that he had been unable to find food at almost every eating place in the downtown area, and was taunted by fast food workers.

Mizrachi lives in eastern Shaddahbad and had been in Mirat on business, staying at one of the local hotels downtown. After being rushed into a meeting in the morning without breakfast, Mizrachi had to endure prolonged work and was not able to go on break. Additionally, Mizrachi claimed that the building he had worked in was facing electrical issues and as such, the air conditioning was non-functional. After leaving his place of work, the man was already in dire need of food, and as the sun beamed down harshly, Mizrachi claimed he had began to panic fearing he may die. As is common practice in Mehrabiist-majority towns and cities, most downtown restaurants with proper dining were closed for the month, and this can apply even to most fast food chains. Mizrachi then made a desperate trek to the Al-Siyadath mall via bus in order to find anything to eat.

After arriving at the food court, Mizrachi claims that he approached the nearest Al-Dijaj fast food restaurant and begged for his meal as quickly as possible, beginning to feel sick and faint. Upon his demand, he reports that the man working behind the register began to frown at Mizrachi as he ordered, alleging: "The man was very frustrated, it seemed. He would not look at me nor speak more than a single word at a time with me. He was even reluctant to take my money". Mizrachi then reports that a woman came from behind the counter and joked about the man in Rafhani, whereupon Mizrachi stated that he was a Shaddaist and did not observe Rammudah. Following this, the man at the register laughed at Mizrachi before calling him a "fool" and an "ass", refusing to believe that Mizrachi was indeed a Shaddaist. He states that: "The man then said I was just a weak Mehrabiist, and that no Shaddaist would even think about stepping foot in this part of town barring trouble". The man at the register then allegedly took the meal that was made for Mizrachi and tossed it into the garbage can, telling him to "get out of his sight".

After slowly pacing himself out of the food court, Mizrachi reported he became light-headed, dizzy, and could not see properly. He collapsed soon after.

The owner of the Al-Dijaj at the Al-Siyadath mall food court gave an address to Alnakuirah today, stating: "We are disheartened to see that there are individuals which continue to discriminate against non-adherents during the period of Rammudah. Even if Mr. Mizrachi was Mehrabiist it is always our policy to feed anyone and everyone without prejudice, this is why our restaurants remain open during Rammudah in the first place. Nonetheless, we have terminated both employees working on Thursday at the Al-Dijaj at the Al-Siyadath mall, and we truly hope that in the future, Mr. Mizrachi will not feel daunted in our establishments."
