The Vantian species is a carbon based species which does not need any kind of air in order to live. They are fungoid based, and the only requirement needed for a Vantian on any planet is above burning temperatures(below zero temperatures do not bother Vantians in the slightest, as they can survive the vacuum and temperatures of space without much difficulty). They do not have a specific food requirement, and just need a material which can be turned into nutrients. Vantian sprouts(Young Vantians yet to detatch from the soil/host), have a kind of 'natural network' where Vantian sprouts within a 100m distance are connected by thin roots, allowing for instantaneous comm8unication between them. This leads to many spores being identical in personality as they think and work together in large group as a single conciseness. If a Sprout that is connected to an underground network is not able to get enough nutrient's from its environment, the other Sprouts(if part of their network), regardless of distance, will unconsciously pull more nutrients from the ground and send it through the network in order to make sure the struggling Sprout reaches adulthood. When a Sprout reaches adulthood they retain the connection with their Sprout group and are able to communicate with their group no matter the distance, and are even able to communicate with other fully grown Vantians who grew up before they were introduced to the Sprout group. As such, a Vantian Sprout group is the closest thing to a 'family'. Their worlds are usually very fauna covered, as a Vantian tends to encourage a large amount of plant growth. This is because the Vantians actually produce a chemical that heavily stimulates the growth factor of anything plant based, it can be applied to animal based lifeforms, but it can be considered deadly to them, as it does seem to cause them to grow rapidly and cause organ failure as the change is far to fast for the animal based species.
The Vant Ascendancy is a nation that has no notion of machines, as they are a completely plant based lifeform. They are a Xenophile society but are unfortunately very isolationist, and very unlikely to go ahead and explore the unknown. The worlds they have colonized are usually rarely modified, as they are usually able to sustain Vantian life on their surface. The only planets that are modified are those with acidic rains, extremely high tempetures, extremely low tempetures, and high signs of radiation.
What a Vant Ascendancy interstellar exploration ship looks like. Minus the lights, they are completely dark. They are equipped for interstellar travel, but not many are used, or even created due to the Vantian isolationist nature. While it is completely unintentional, these ships look extremely intimidating, and is unfortuently not the best ship to use for a first contact.
The Vantian interstellar fleet. Despite the Vantians being isolationist, and xenophiles, they know the potential dangers space may hold. So they created ships made from plants that they deem apropriate for interstellar travel along with interstellar combat. Their 'engines' are actually faster than the exploration ships, and is considered normal for interstellar travel. These military ships carry large arsenals of biological weapons, these include but not limited to the following: Biological gasses, acid, and deadly genetically modified creatures. But despite their generally large arsenals, these ships are still made from plants, and as such are generally fragile to large explosions and can be deeply penetrated by physical weaponry. They make up for this fact for being extremely quick to grow(build), and can often be seen in large groups called sporelings. When they are destroyed(they cant explode, no combustion engines or explosive weaponry), their weapons leak out of their containers as the ship deteriorates, causing a deadly cloud of poisonous and acidic gasses, deadly for anything biological, and acts as an acid to most metals.

The World Tree. World Tree's are heavily genetically modified to reach past the atmosphere of planets. They take around 75 years to grow to their full size, but it wiltake another 75 years for the tree to become dense enough to become stable enough for communities. The World Tree's are genetically modified to grow Vantian intergalatic ships like they would fruits. This allows the Vantian fleet to constantly have a source of ships. They do not abide by the seasons, so they are growing the ships year round. It takes 2 years for a intergalaticship to be grown, and another half year to properly finish its interior and internal structure. The ships are grown at random, and with each new World Tree a different looking ship is produced. But the ships still look the same as the rest in terms of design, they just have different colouration and grains.
