A day will last 72 hours or unless a majority of the players have voted for a player, after that time, the day will end.

Well, the only people who know who the king is, is the guards and the king themself. The assassin is the only person who doesn't know who the king is. If someone says that "Person x is the king" only the guards and the king know if that is true.

We have to vote for someone to get killed, so, I’ll just vote for a random person. The only person who would get worried over being killed is the assassin, the guards know who the king is so, no ones killing the king. The guards just need to protect the king to win.

Well, even if you are killed, that doesn't necessarily mean you lose. The guards need to keep the king alive to win, but they don't need to be alive themselves.

@Praetor If 72 hours pass and no one has voted, does the game end?

Whoops! That's an important typo which I have fixed! The day will end after 72 hours or when a majority of votes are for one player. If at the end of the 72 hours, the player with the most votes on them has three votes, they will be lynched.

Yup, your vote would be subtracted from the current count. Three votes for one person are now required for a lynch (or wait until the three days ends in about 12 hours).
