June. The annual Kanderish will be beginning very soon, and this time round, it would mark the 10th season of the annual music competition.
Whenever it comes to this season, when the Poafmeria Broadcasting Corporation (PFBC) hosts the competition, they always find it difficult to get an idea of what to do for the season. Cooperating with various music companies, the show has brought various up and coming artiste to the spotlight.

Quick history of the first 9 seasons:
1) The first two seasons of the competition was an individual competition, where new up and coming singers/groups of singers would compete with their various performances to become the top. These singers are newer singers who are wanting to get a breakthrough in the Poafmerian music industry. The first season, a season for males, was won by Natrika Hanson, a 24-year old singer who sings rock music. The second season, a season for females, was won by Desiree Consteanous, a 19-year old girl who currently sings loves songs and theme songs for shows.
2) The third and fourth season became competitions for established singers, where they would come and compete their music-creation skills by providing covers for songs sang by other singers. The competition was won by Hajsvi Band (Season 3) and Jazleen Tiklyer (Season 4).
3) Season 5 was a first time the show converted itself to a survival show format. 321 young girls (known as trainees) from all around Poafmeria came together. These girls competed for a limited 70 slots to become part of the biggest girl group in Poafmeria, a new group now known as HFA38 Group. HFA38 is unique in the sense that it is the first (and only) girl group that changes its main group members every year through fan elections. Members can leave the 70-member pool (known as their graduation from the group), but they cannot re-enter after that. New members would then be inducted to take over. Even though all the members would have various performance opportunities, only the main groups get to perform the songs for their annual concert as well as sing the songs for the annual album.
4) Season 6 is exactly the same as Season 5, except that it is a boy group, now known as YTC38 Group, that is chosen instead. Unlike Season 5 where professional singers were the judges to decide who enters the 70-member pool, the season marks the first time where the Poafmerian population is allowed to vote for their favourite trainees.
5) Season 7-9 became selection for limited-time girl and boy groups. Unlike Season 5/6 where the members could be part of the HFA38/YTC38 for as long until their graduation, the debuting groups is guaranteed to disband after 2 years. 109 trainees entered each season, and only 9 make it into the final group. Season 7 produced All-nine, and it introduced a new song form that involves both singing and dancing (OOC: think of it as modern-day K-POP). Season 8 produced Starnine, while Season 9 produced Kangderine (a word that translates to "unique") One. Season 8 is the only boy group season, while Season 7/9 is a girl-group season.

As the competition enters its 10th season, it was decided that a 14-member mixed group would be the aim of this season. Interviews and mass auditions are ongoing as of the posting of this post, and the names of the participants would be released soon.

After the show was announced 2 months ago, the Poafmeria Broadcasting Corporation has announced that the first episode of the show will begin on the 15th August. Recording of the show has begun at the start of July, with the first live stage performance coming up soon on 9th August. A total of 193 participants will make the actual show, consisting of 97 young ladies and 96 young gentleman. From the 1st of August, the contestant list would slowly be revealed, as participants make video introductions about themselves. The citizen-judges, who would be the ones deciding who makes this 14-member group, will get to know the participants.

Among the professional mentors confirmed for the competition, Starnine, as well as members of All-nine (which would be announced later), would come in as the "seniors", helping the trainees get through the competition process as well as help to pick up trainees who they believe have the potential. Desiree Consteanous, the season 2 winner, would also return as the Vocal mentor.
