Due to recent concerns from top military advisers that the Mondic Military would be unable to prevent a land invasion, the Military has awarded a contract to United Dynamics Land Systems to develop an Anti-Tank Guided Missile Vehicle [ATGM] that can assist the troops on the ground in the event of a hostile army entering Mondic territory. This ATGM should also allow the Military to help assist fellow KU nations in the event that they are invaded.
United Dynamics Land Systems has been awarded a $4,000,000,000 ($4,800,000,000 IBU) contract to develop the IFV by 2023.
After the ATGM is developed, the Military plans on building 75 IFVs by 2024.

The following is an update on yesterday's Nork shooting. The soldiers that were shot yesterday by Jacob Smith have been confirmed to have stabilized in the hospital. While the soldiers did sustain quite serious injuries, Smith missed their vital organs and the hospital has confirmed that they will survive this incident. The hospital has refused to release the soldiers' names for the sake of their privacy. Also, the Mondic Military has informed the MBC that they will be paying for the soldiers' hospital fees and provide the families of the soldiers with financial support so as to not allow the families of the soldiers to have an even harder time after having to hear of this tragic incident.

The Mondic Government will be lowering the corporate tax rate from 42% to 30% to allow corporations to keep more revenue, which will allow corporations to grow, create more supply, and innovate. The Government also believes that with corporations being taxed less they will be able to hire more people and create more jobs.
The Mondic Government will also be instituting a universal 10% sales tax rate, this sales tax will have to be displayed on the products and factored into the price of the product on the label, this labeling will help avoid confusion while shopping.

After much deliberation, United Dynamics Land Systems has just revealed the design for a multi-purpose fighting vehicle, known as the Multi-role Tactical Assault Vehicle, or MTAV, that will supplement the Mondic military's ground forces and will allow ground forces to rapidly deploy and assist in combat operations in the near future.
This variant of the MTAV is equipped with a fully automated .50 caliber machine gun, but there will be many other variants, such as payload carrier, missile carrier, utility, and even an ambulance variant that comes with a medical trailer for treating injured soldiers on the battlefield
The Mondic military has already invested $4,000,000,000 into the platform, $185,000,000 was spent on developing the platform. The rest has been invested into acquiring 8,800 MTAVs at $433,540/unit under medium production conditions.
The Military plans on investing another $4,850,000,000 into acquiring 9,700 more MTAVs by 2021 at a cost of $500,000/unit under high production conditions.
The Mondic military plans on using the MTAVs as the main rapid response infantry support vehicles for the Army, due to the flexibility and speed (110km/hr) of the MTAVs. The Army is so far extremely satisfied with the specifications and performance of the MTAVs.

Press Release From The Mondic Government
Due to recent reports of the military of Sutherland performing military exercises on the border of McMasterdonia, the Mondic government is calling on Sutherland to halt these exercises. We acknowledge that the government of Sutherland is worried about McMasterdonian troops near the border, however, the only reason the McMasterdonian government has moved troops towards the border is that Gunrei-aligned extremist groups are still wreaking havoc on cities near the border, killing innocent civilians. The Mondic government will do everything in its power to guarantee that the McMasterdonian government does not order a preemptive attack on Sutherland, as doing so would violate Article 1 of the Kian Union charter of seeking to solve international issues diplomatically. However, we also acknowledge that the Mondic government has recognized Sutherland's independence from McMasterdonia, despite this, if Sutherland continues to inflame tensions between itself and McMasterdonia as it is doing currently, the Mondic government will not hesitate to sever diplomatic ties with the government of Sutherland. On top of this, if Sutherland fires at McMasterdonian forces first, the Mondic government will not hesitate to adhere to Article 5 of the Kian Union charter, bringing the full force of its military to bear to defend its close ally of McMasterdonia. If this happens, the Kingdom of Valencia would also be obligated to declare war on Sutherland. Therefore, we are calling on Sutherland to halt its current military exercises in order to cool down tensions before they escalate to the point of no return. To ensure that peace is reached between Sutherland and McMasterdonia, the Mondic government is calling on both governments to come to the table, mediated by the Mondic government, and reach some sort of settlement or ceasefire in order to avoid war breaking out on the Meterran continent.

Due to the actions that have been taken by the McMasterdonian militia, the Mondic government is calling on the McMasterdonian government to order the militia out of Sutherland, we are also calling on the Sutherlan government to not fire on the McMasterdonian troops if they come in to remove the militia. If Sutherland fires upon the McMasterdonian troops that come in to remove the militia, then the Mondic government will declare war on Sutherland. However, if McMasterdonia uses the militia's actions as leverage to take land from Sutherland, then the Mondic government will not aid McMasterdonia in the war that would inevitably break out, since in that case, McMasterdonia would be violating Article 1 of the Kian Union that states that member nations will settle international disputes diplomatically. Press Release From The Mondic Government
With the situation on the McMasterdonian-Sutherlan border becoming more precarious, we urge other nations not to send any troops or military equipment, including ships and planes, as this could cause either side to become worried or emboldened enough to launch the first strike. We appreciate the nations that want to protect Sutherland's sovereignty, however, this situation is very delicate and every move should be taken with immense care. In response to the comments by the Norsian government, we appreciate the situation that Norsia has been in for two decades, we recognize that Norsia has had its national image beaten down time after time, however the declaration by Queen Alycia's government could end up emboldening Sutherland into making more reckless moves in relation to McMasterdonia, therefore if Norsia could refrain from taking the next step of sending troops, we would appreciate that immensely; granted, this is just a request and Norsia would be well within its rights to send troops, we would appreciate the Norsian government's complete cooperation on this situation. Now, we have also seen moves taken by the Goyanean government. The deployment of ships into international waters near Sutherland is well within their rights, however we would appreciate it if the Goyanean Imperial Navy does not move the ships into the waters of McMasterdonia or Sutherland. However, we do appreciate the Goyanean government's pledge to help get the situation under control diplomatically, if the Goyanean government wishes to help the Mondic government solve this diplomatically, it would be seen as a sign of good faith on the part of Goyanes. Now, due to the situation advancing towards possible war, President Roman has sent a proposal to Congress to repeal the Mondic Non-Proliferation Bill, President Roman has stated that "While the Non-Proliferation Bill was very progressive, if a war breaks out with a nuclear power, Mondari has no deterrent stopping said nuclear power from striking Mondic soil with a weapon that could kill millions." Congress has stated that they will hold a special session to discuss revoking the MNPB.

Press Release From The Mondic Government
With tensions rising between the McMasterdonian and Sutherlan governments; the Mondic Congress, at the request of President Roman, had a vote yesterday to repeal the Mondic Non-Proliferation Bill. Congress recognizes that the bill was a strong step towards showing the world that it did not seek war, however, due to the issues popping up involving its fellow Kian Union member state and Mondari's other allies, many Congressmen came to the agreement that the Non-Proliferation Bill was passed prematurely. This agreement was realized due to the many conflicts popping up across the world, from the Kardonyslav civil war having the possibility to spread on Craviter, to the McMasterdonian-Sutherlan border crisis, to many other internal issues rearing their heads. These concerns were taken into account by Congress during the deliberations. The vote to repeal the MNPB was passed by a vote of 312 to 399 in the House and a vote of 75 to 95 in the Senate. In accordance with the vote being passed, Congress also stated that it wants the Mondic Military to acquire two intercontinental ballistic missiles each year until 2050, along with rearming the thirteen ICBMs the Military were in the process of dismantling. The President of the Senate, Kierra Sabella has stated that "while we in Congress do not want a war, we believe that due to the many issues facing the world currently, there is a good possibility that any of these could spill over onto Kian. If this happens, the Military needs the ability to defend itself, the first step in avoiding said spillover is the deterrence factor that a nuclear arsenal provides. We hope wholeheartedly that a war does not break out between McMasterdonia and Sutherland, however if it does, Mondari needs the nuclear deterrence to prevent another nuclear power from launching a first strike at the Mondic homeland." Congress has also stated that the total cost of the rearmament project, rearming the thirteen ICBMs and producing sixty-two more, will cost an estimated 9.68 billion IBU by 2050.

Press Release From The Mondic Government
Due to reports of the McMasterdonian Queen Mother entering the regions of Sutherland that voted to rejoin McMasterdonia, the Mondic Navy has dispatched the MNS Rizer and its task group to the international waters off the coasts of McMasterdonia and Sutherland.
(The MNS Rizer alongside its task group made up of Destiny class destroyers and Hydrovene class cruisers)
The Mondic government made the decision to dispatch the MNS Rizer and its task group in order to ensure the stability of the region. With the Goyanean navy off the coasts of McMasterdonia and Sutherland, we believe that the MNS Rizer can act as a deterrent from any irrational moves. On the issue of the Sutherland vote and the McMasterdonian forces in said counties that voted to rejoin McMasterdonia, we believe that the Sutherlan government should respect the vote of said regions because the Sutherland government authorized said elections. However, we are also urging both sides to not move past their regions of support, McMasterdonia should stay in the regions of "Onward, Faith of the Nation, Universalis, and Sacramentum." On the other side, we are also urging the Sutherlan government to not try to forcefully retake said regions, that would cause a war to break out. If the McMasterdonian and Sutherlan government are willing to sit down and talk this situation out to come to an understanding, that would be a large step towards de-escalation. If either side invades the other, the Mondic military will be forced to act in accordance to who was the aggressor.

Press Release From The Mondic Government
After hearing the statement put out by the Goyanean government, we are disappointed to hear the falsities and hypocrisy being stated by Gojannesstad. Firstly, the accusation that Mondari needs to defend every single nation that is worse off than it due to its membership in the Luscova Pact is deceiving at best; while Mondari is a member of the Luscova Pact, Sutherland is not, therefore that is a moot point. On top of that, Mondari is only an observer member, and while it would more than likely aid its allies in the Luscova Pact, it is not required to do anything. It is also deceiving because Mondari is an ally of the Sutherlan government, it is not sending troops or troops ships to port in McMasterdonia like Goyanes has to Predice; these troops being stationed in Predicean ports is much more of an escalation than Mondari stationing the MNS Rizer task group in international waters. On top of that, Mondari is not at all standing by in any way, it has continuously pushed both sides to work together, however, it is not going to force either side to do anything, it is not an imperialist nation in any right, its job is not to use its military might to make other nations submit. The fact that the Goyanean government claims Mondari is tossing its ideals out the windows by stationing ships in international waters is extremely hypocritical considering Goyanes is not only doing the exact same thing, but it is also putting its own troops and weaponry at port of one of the nations near the area. On another point, Mondari supports the democratic process, and by the best information we have at this time, the vote in the regions of Sutherland that voted to rejoin McMasterdonia are legitimate, even if they come out to be illegitimate, the fact that Goyanes is stating a dislike for this is also hypocritical, considering that there is reliable evidence that the Goyanean government interfered in the Vallish election. Therefore, the fact that Goyanes seems to believe it can use its influence to force nations to do what it wants it not a good reflection on the Gojannesstad government. The fact that Goyanes's issues only came up after Mondari did exactly what itself did, in that it stationed ships in the international waters off Sutherland and McMasterdonia seems to show that Goyanes believes it is the only nation that can make substantial moves in deploying a navy to prevent conflict. Either that or Goyanes has plans to invade McMasterdonia, therefore fearing a real naval threat being stationed near it. In either case, it does not make the Gojannesstad government look good. If Goyanes wants to come to the table and work together on pulling our militaries out of the region to cool tensions between our governments, we would be willing to work with them. If they do not then it reflects on their true motives; in any case, Mondari is not wanting a war to break out between McMasterdonia and Sutherland, we have continuously stated this fact, the deployment of the carrier group is a way to dissuade any actor from starting a war. There was no plan to deploy any ships, planes, or troops to the region until Goyanes did so itself.

Press Release From The Mondic Government
Due to inflammatory comments by Anthony Brooks on the McMasterdonian-Sutherland border conflict, we have decided to relieve Mr. Brooks of his position as Secretary of Foreign Relations and Trade. After some deliberation, and having taken in statements along with comments from our allies and trade partners, we have decided to bring the MNS Rizer home from patrol. We apologize to our allies for false information being put forth by Mr. Brooks on our behalf. We are working towards preventing such an issue of miscommunication from occurring again.
Statement From The Department of Foreign Relations and Trade in Mondari
I appreciate the government seeing promise in my abilities, I am going to work to fulfill their expectations. Now, on the issue of my predecessor's recent actions in regard to Goyanes. I believe that stating the normal patrol of the MNS Rizer as a "deployment" was unnecessarily aggressive and came off as warmongering, this was a massive mistake. This action only caused damage to the D.D.M's reputation on the international stage. Mr. Brooks should have taken a more diplomatic approach to the situation; now, while I did not agree with Goyanes originally sending ships near Sutherland, Mr. Brooks should have tried to negotiate with the Goyanean government to get said ships removed, or at least a guarantee against a first strike. Mr. Brooks' flawed decision only caused other nations to get involved. I will try my best to rectify his mistake in attempting to repair Mondari's reputation on the world stage by working with our allies more closely, on top of that, I will do my best to try and get an agreement from the Goyanean government to not launch a first strike on McMasterdonia.
