This thread is now obsolete due to TNPU Council decision that came into effect 1st November 2019 after a quorum vote result (4 votes including all the officers) in favour of the removal of the Senatus and all records of it in our current Charter and TNPU Threads.

Senatus
Senatus is the sovereign body of the University and acts as its ‘parliament’. It's membership includes staff and lecturers.
Senatus has responsibility for:-
Approving changes to the University’s statutes and regulations;
Considering major policy issues submitted by Council or members of Senatus;
Electing members to Council and other University bodies, and approving the appointment of the Chancellor.
How do I qualify to become a member of the Senatus?
To qualify you have to be a student or lecturer.Simply post a thread in the appropriate Division of the University on a subject of your choosing. Please be aware there are still Rules and Controls in place, made by TNPU and those that fall in accordance, at a minimum, with both TNP Forum and Discord Rules.
