Introduction
Today, a wide range of applications and substances in our daily life make use of what we call "Electricity". From charging your phones and laptops to powering subway trains, all of these utilise electricity and may also convert the electrical energy to mechanical energy or any other form of energy.

Electric Potential
Electric Potential in an electric test field is the amount of work done to move a unit charge from a point to infinity.
it's S.I unit is Volts (V)

Potential Difference
Difference in Electric potential between two points in a electric test field is Potential Difference. In other words, It is the amount of work done to move a unit charge from one point to other.
It is the Potential Difference that provides energy to electrons to move from area of higher potential to area of low potential.
It's S.I unit is Volts (V)
