Culture Check-In 2019: September-October

Howdy ho! Culture got off to a great start this term. The Games Server took off beyond anyone's expectations and we are currently in talks with other regions to host game nights on it! We also continue to experiment with the make-up of the server. We added a Hearts of Iron 4 channel and are considering a CS:Go channel, as well as potential Pokemon-themed channels.

Beyond that though? We launched the Roleplay Symposium with our RP allies in GD. This was truly special to see take off as it was the result of months of planning from both our Culture team here in TNP as well as our friends in GD. The event proved to be immensely popular, as our passionate RP community mingled with those from other regions. Here's hoping we continue to strengthen those bonds and grow NS RP as we move forward.
The Symposium also had a great after-effect. We completed Roleplay Reel #2 at the end of last term and though we are very proud how it came out? We tentatively set the idea for a third issue on the backburner to deal with more pressing concerns. The Symposium allowed us an opportunity, however. We are currently, in conjunction with the Ministries of Communication and Radio, putting together a MASSIVE issue #3 for the Roleplay Reel that will feature the RP lectures given. Permission has been received from all non-TNP lecturers to use their work in our publication, and of course our own TNP-penned lectures will be featured as well.

We are also planning for the Lennarts. They took a bit of a break for 2018 but they're going to be returning. We look to bring back all the categories we featured in 2017, but with a few more RP-centric ones for this year's edition.
