Interesting notes:

1. Prince Johan was the nephew of Emperor Leopold, thus giving him the title of Prince, and it is the reason Highton became a Principality.

2. Between 1432 and 1833, the Aleman Kingdom saw eleven Kings called David.

3. During the reigns of Otto I and Alexander I, the thrones of Highton and Aleman were briefly held by the same person.

4. The personal union was broken by the birth of twins, Maximilian and David.

5. Sophia I was the first and only Princess to wear the crown before unification, even though male primogeniture was abolished in 1806.

6. Eleanor of Mannheim was the only Queen of Aleman.

7. Thomas I, II, and III of Highton were all closely related to the Prydanian royal family and spoke only Makari.

8. Thomas V of Highton and David XI of Aleman arranged the marriage of Thomas VI and Eleanor of Trier to unify the royal families.

9. Weeks after Eleanor of Trier assumed the Aleman throne, the two states formally unified.

10. Princess Lucia died of disease while visiting a battlefield during the Eastern War. Her younger brother assumed the throne.

11. Sophia II donated a large sum of money for investment in flying technology– it would be used to fund Highton City's airport twenty years later.

12. Princess Emma was the only Hightonian monarch to be assassinated.

13. Karl gave up some royal powers to save the monarchy but was still unpopular. He abdicated in 1931.

14. Princess Gabrielle married Cojedean Prince Álvaro Corazon in 1928 and held some Cojedean titles as well.

15. Gabrielle took Highton into the Fascist War on the side of the Allies and started Highton's short-lived nuclear program.

16. In 1949, republicans got control of the legislature and at the end of the war in 1951, Gabrielle signed the new constitution.

17. Diego I had no children and the crown was passed to his nephew Timothy.

18. Diego II took the throne when his father abdicated in 2014.

19. The current Prince has had no children thus far, despite turning 35 this year and his wife Emelie turning 32.
