The World Exposition Union
Changing the World: One Monumental Gathering at a Time

Purpose: The WEU exists to bring the nations of the world together through officially trademarked events that bring different cultures, ideas, innovations, and visions together in one place for the betterment of all mankind. It pursues collaborative events all around the world for the pursuit of peace and understanding where possible while also inviting the people of all nations to take part. Through the efforts of all nations involved, the world expositions of this body can truly change people for the better, one gathering at a time.

Membership: There are no requirements for membership. A nation need only request entry to be admitted. The expectation is that the nation will put in the effort to be a part of WEU sanctioned events and be willing to share of their own culture and innovation at events.

Event Announcements and Durations: Events will be scheduled by members of the Union. A sanctioned event will then be able to remain open for a minimum of one month. Only after that month may another sanctioned event commence. An event may not last more than 2 months.

Event Bidding: A bid may be placed for a particular month period. (Example: A bid for August 2019) Once a bid is placed, a week will be allowed for other nations and cities to place a bid as well. If more than one nation is bidding for the same month, a vote of non bidding members who are members of the Union from the point that the bidding began will occur. Once the vote period has ended, the Union will begin assisting the host nation with preparations.

The Union Chair: The Union shall have a chairman who shall conduct business. This term is to last six months. The candidate that receives an absolute majority shall obtain the Union Chair. If this does not occur after the first round of voting, then a runoff between the two top vote receiving candidates will occur. The Union Chair may choose another member to act as Vice Union Chair to assist with the duties of the WEU.

Motions: A motion amending this document or calling for a particular action of the Union may be put forward by any member. The Union Chair will recognize the motion and guide discussion until he or she decides to put it to a vote with permission of the original motioner.

On behalf of the Chancellor's Council and Her Serene Highness, High Queen Sólveig, the Most Serene Kingdom of Merilia cordially puts forward its application for membership in the World Exposition Union. With a strong culture of innovation and pushing forward the boundaries of science and technology, we feel that the Kingdom will fit in well with the Union and as such we wish to share that culture with the world.

Please provide a bid (without money) that names the theme of your national exposition, the cities involved, the type of pavilions that are to be expected, and a general overview of the major events that will make up the exposition. The bidding period closes July 5th.

City: Ardurelos
Theme: Earth, Sea, and Sky, an exposition of the achievements in utilizing the natural world for the betterment of mankind.
Pavilion overview: The expo will showcase the achievements of nations in crafting the natural world for scientific and artistic gain. Halls will include machinery, energy advances, art, sculpture etc.
Major events: Events will be held in conjunction with the themes, to include airshows, and sea trials of the latest and greatest in shipbuilding and watercraft technology.
