Hi all,
We are currently undergoing delegate and speaker elections. As I consider these events and their outcomes to be of high importance, I will include them in the March report. This report will be posted in roughly a week and this topic updated.
Thanks,
Eriadni
March Update from the Social Liberal Union
Chancellor, Speaker and Delegate Elections
It's been a shining festival of SLU democracy over the past month with elections for Chancellor (head of the Judicial branch), Speaker (leader of the Open Parliament), and Delegate (head of the Executive). The results have been published as follows:
Chancellor:
Hirematia: 10 votes
Brys Questions: 3 votes
The then-speaker Hirematia was elected Chancellor, Kanoria took up the duties of Speaker pro tempore.
Speaker:
Courelli: 12 votes
Ramelia: 4 votes
Courelli was elected Speaker, Brys Questions is now the Minister of Foreign Affairs until new Ministerial elections.
Delegate:
Goncar: 16 votes
Brys Questions: 0 votes
In what has been largely seen as a confirmation election for Goncar's 2nd Term, the incumbent delegate retained their position and will serve a second term.
Open Parliament
One bill was introduced and is currently under consideration.
Amendment 1 to the Law Commission and Library Act
Regional Activity and Other Notes
The regional map is coming along very nicely thanks to the efforts of our cartographer, Kanoria. You can check it out on our forums!
Otherwise its been pretty quiet, just the usual debate and discussion!
