The Province of Geldia, home of the Geldians one of the few areas of Ninhundland that has its own language, Geldian. Located right in the western edge of the Naesser and home to some of the most popular sailing sports on Gothis. Thousands of Ninhunders from across the country and even a fair number of Goyanians visit every summer to sail the beautiful blue waters just off the coast.

Sailing season generally lasts from May to October as that’s when, for the most part at least decent weather can be excepted during the warm dry summer season. So who the fuck goes sailing here in December!? Sure compared to most of Ninhundland it’s not that cold but when the temperatures are in the low single digits at the warmest part of day doesn’t really seem welcoming. However that doesn’t stop some from enjoying a ride on open waters.

“Okay, you have about 2 metres”, said Oskar while getting out of the truck to check the distance to the boat launch. “Almost there, and”, a splash was made as the boat was put into the water. “I’ll go drive the parking area, you and Roman will stay with the boat”, stated Konrad.

A few minutes later Konrad had returned and the men were ready to set sail. As they drifted away while the motor was turned on the land looked smaller and smaller. However it wasn’t normally that fast until the land was hard to see. “The wind is definitely to our favour today”, said Konrad. “Yeah but the clouds to the northwest look very dark” Oskar pointed out. “Relax we shouldn’t be going that far out and if we stick closer to shore we should be fine” assured Oskar.

The first couple hours were fine and surprisingly relaxing. The wind was good and the weather wasn’t that bad for December.

As the afternoon rolled in the clouds got closer and closer to shore and therefore the boat. The humidity could be felt as the cold, moist air swept across the sea. It wasn’t long after until the clouds were almost overhead. “Okay we should probably start turning back now”, Konrad replied after feeling raindrops. “It’s cold, windy, and now rainy. I think today was fun but we should try traveling closer to shore.” Do you know where that is?”, asked Roman. “Yeah” replied Oskar, “all we need to do is head southward.”
