2018 IAFF World Cup

https://i.imgur.com/twF0heG.png[/img
Last month, the DSA accepted a request from the [region]Social Liberal Union[/region] to join their inter-regional World Cup, alongside the regions of [region]The Leftist Assembly[/region], [region]The Union of Democratic States[/region], and [region]The Versutian Federation[/region]. Rules were set that only 4 nations could proceed to the 2018 IAFF World Cup. To determine who in the DSA could go, a qualification tournament was held. The four nations that proceeded to go on to the World Cup were [nation]Napoilia[/nation], [nation]Dekks[/nation], [nation]Student Loan Debt[/nation], and [nation]Tiekerrick[/nation].
Over the past two weeks, the nations from all the regions in the competition have been competing to see who will advance to the Quarter-Finals. Sadly, no DSA nations will be advancing. For all those who participated, we thank you for joining us.
If you wish to follow the rest of the tournament, which will end on August 6th, you can follow the official wiki made for the games by clicking on this link.
Ministry of Role-Play Omnibus Act
The amendment seeks to move the Director of Cartography section of the
Charter back under the Ministry of Role-Play section, as well as enumerate the
laws and rules of the directorships under the Ministry of Role-Play.

Death of Opalaland?
On July 28th, [regional founder] [nation]Opalaland[/nation] CTE'd (ceased to exist). This was a big issue. If you are unaware, raiders have had their eye on our region for a long time. Luckily, we've had a Founder that exists. Founders are able to eject nations from their region and prevent coups, of which raiders attempt to do. However, if a Founder CTE one day, that's like an open invitation to raiders to try and seize power. With the Democratic Socialist Assembly's high status on NationStates, Opalaland CTEing was a huge deal.
The government of the DSA called upon our alliance with [region]The Red Fleet[/region], one of the largest Defender forces on NationStates that protect leftist regions from raiders. Luckily, however, this was not necessary, for Opalaland returned to the game soon after they CTE'd. Some drastic measures were taken during this time, including temporary suppression of RMB posts before an official statement could be made about the Founder CTEing.
[Ambassador's Note] Forum Host Change
The Democratic Socialist Assembly has used Zetaboards to host its forum for a number of years. However, with the adoption of Tapatalk's extremely restrictive Terms of Service and the forced migration of our forum to a Tapatalks site, the regional administration has begun migration to a new Proboards forum. Records will likely take quite a while to be transferred, but the new forum is located here.
