Parliament​

The Thorwegian Parliament is called Altinget. It is the legislative assembly in Thorway, which means that it passes the Acts that apply in Thorway. Altinget is also responsible for adopting the state's budgets, approving the state's accounts, exercising control of the Government and taking part in international cooperation.

Altinget is composed of 175 MPs. Parliamentary elections are held at least every four years, but it is within the powers of the Prime Minister to ask the Monarch to call for an election before the term has elapsed.
 
Government​

The prime minister is the head of government. He decides who is going to be ministers in his cabinet.
The executive power lies with the government. It is the government that prepares and proposes the vast majority of new laws and amendments to existing laws.
Both the government and the members of the parliament can make legislative proposals - but most come from the government.

Courts​

The courts exercise judicial power in Thorway and have exclusive competence to decide whether Thorwegian citizens or foreigners residing in Thorway have broken the laws of the country. Neither Altinget nor the Government has authority to judge a citizen.

Everyone has the right to a fair trial.

judges must not allow themselves to be influenced by Altinget, the Government, the press or others when pronouncing judgement. They must be guided exclusively by the letter of the law.
 
Education​

All children and young people have the right to great schools and educations no matter
where they live, or what their background is. All public educations are free.
Children starts in primary school in the year of their 6th birthday. Primary school covers grades 1-7.
After primary school the students enter the Youth School (grades 8-10). In youth school the students begins
getting grades. After graduating 10th grade, the students can move up to High School where they can choose either
general studies or vocational studies. High school takes 3 years to finish.

Higher Education​

Higher education is anything beyond High school, and normally lasts 3 years or more.
Higher education is broadly divided into:

* University colleges
* Universities
* Private Colleges

Almost all educational institutes in Thorway are free and the students get a tuition-fee payed by the state.
 
Healthcare​

Thorway has a universal health care system, characterised by being publicly financed through taxes.
There are 42 Secondary healthcare hospitals and 10 Tertiary healthcare hospitals.
